Fun facts:

Robert went to Woodlawn High in Shreveport. Same HS as Terry Bradshaw, Joe Ferguson, James Gilyard and Robert Pennywell.

I went to HS with Robert’s sister Liz. She was 6’2”, looked just like him but didn’t play basketball. I never asked her why.

Another fun fact: The radio voice for Centenary during that era was none other than the recently retired Voice of the LSU Tigers, Jim Hawthorne

More than held his own against Kareem, Lambeer, Moses Malone, and the other great centers of his era.

OP - I agree. NCAA did overkill on this case.

Crazy stat: during his NBA career Parish played against Havlicek and Kobe.

I remember looking at the back of his basketball card as a kid (late 80s/early 90s) and seeing he played at Centenary, which I thought was neat because LSU played them in baseball every February.
