Is that really Spieth in the photo of Willett and Payne?

It looks like a waxed dummy.

To me Van de Velde will always be the worst. That frog stepped onto 18 needed only a double to win. Any sane person hits 8 iron, 8 iron, wedge, 2 putt for bogey, Claret Jug winner. But this moron grabs the driver.

I was at Carnoustie 2 weeks after VDV had his meltdown. Going for that shot out of the water was retarded as well. Was an impossible shot when you were standing where he was standing. I will say the Brits had a lot of fun with it being a French guy melting down like that. And yeah, that will always be the biggest meltdown in my eyes as well.

Let's not forget that Smylie Kaufman was hacking around and I bet that didn't help Spieth's mojo.

I am not sure what hole it was yesterday but for as Jordan takes his time to hit every shot. He seemed pissed off that he had an extended wait while they were trying to give relief to Smylie... They showed him pacing and shite.. That may have been a factor..

After he put the green jacket on Willett, he kept looking back and forth at Willett and Payne laughing together. It looked like he really wanted to murder both of them.

Norman's choke job at the 96 masters was pretty epic.

didn't want to start a new thread so I'll just ask here....was it simply an accident when spieth tripped over the chair at the ceremony after the round or had he been drinking any?

Doesn't really matter one way or the other, just curious.

I think he was mentally just drained/shocked/pissed/ and overall completely out of it. His body was there but his mind was still on his decision to start playing more conservative instead of sticking to his game plan

and I can't blame him.

Adam Scott bogeying his final 4 holes in 2012 at the Open was pretty bad as well.

That was Van de Veldes best shot at a major and he pissed down his leg. That context alone makes it worse than the other 2

did not "piss down his leg".

wanted to act macho and paid for it. poor judgement. not cowardice.
if he had been "pissing down his leg" before he picked out a club for 18, then he would have won.

and much agree, since we never hear about him it must be ranked way ahead of Norman and Spieth, because Norman had a spectacular career, and we presume Spieth will continue to play top 10 golf until his body breaks down. If Speith cannot compete at the highest level after this, then we can re-assess this day later.

I remember when Norman was having a divorce. they said he was worth hundreds of millions at the time. here is what 200 million looks like:

200,000,000

isn't that lovely?

Norman did just fine. Lots of 2nds in majors and many titles in USA, Australia. It would have been a nice touch to a great career, but he did just fine.
