pedro in 1999 and 2000 is probably the greatest two year stretch a pitcher has ever had
Greg Maddux's 94 and 95 seasons is easily comparable. That stretch along with Pedro's 99 to 2000 are easily the 2 greatest 2 years stretches of all time

but i feel like wed be really hard pressed to find a pitcher who had a 6 year run that kershaw had between 2011 and 2016.
Randy, Pedro, and Maddux all had better 6 year stretches than Kershaw

Top 5 pitcher's best 5 year stretch are Johnson, Pedro, Roberts, Clemens, and Maddux. If you go by WAR.
The problem with using WAR with pitchers you get Phil Niekro (1974-1978) getting WAR of 38.6, which is right behind Koufax's best stretch. Niekro had an composite ERA of 3.16 during that stretch and led the league in losses twice. But he threw average of 300 innings hence the high WAR.
