I know exactly what the stats are as I’m a GT nerd. The comment was concerning MLB dying. MLB makes more money than any sport. Their players make more money than any other sport. Their owners make more money than any other sport. Sure, they play more games per year but that is how you make more money. If the NFL or college football was smart they would play 16 or 18 game seasons and fill up stadiums another 4-6 times per year as football fans have shown themselves to be suckers for buying tickets.
I totally get that per game the NFL and college has higher attendance but so what. That’s like comparing a food truck to McDonalds. Sure, the food truck is awesome and people love it but it’s only open 12 times a year.
Baseball is much smarter overall. I do give the NFL credit for marketing and Goodall understands he needs more revenue streams during the off season but the reality is football, both NFL and college, are limited for revenue because they play so few games. If I were in charge I’d say expand the rosters and play more games. Smart parents put baseball’s in the hands if their 4 year olds and not footballs..

Knowing how the owners treated players up until 1975 I’ll never agree with the owners over labor.
This isn’t millionaires vs billionaires. This is workers vs owners,

To me the players only have two legit gripes
Salary floor
Service time manipulation
I legit don’t know how the owners function as a group when some of them have 2-3x payroll of
others
