Ugly. He moved well on the court, didn't look old but that racket. Simply overpowered.

Actually winning at Wimbledon and Roland Garros for five years straight at the same time is a bigger feat . That's like winning Charlotte and 24 Hours of Lemans.
Borg was actually better on clay than grass. Won more French Opens and made it to US Open finals when on clay.

I agree, that is what made him so great. . His game was suited for clay, but he dominated Wimbledon like no one before or since, winning 11 total grand slams before he was 26. Insane.

I don't think the big three would have won so many Grand slams if they hadn't changed the surfaces and the balls. When everybody has to play the same style, it's no wonder only few players seem to win everything

One of the greatest dirt ballers of all time. Won 6 times at RG and the Channel Slam three times. Wasn't gonna be the same after 8 years away no matter the surface nor the racquet. I hate that he retired when he did.
He was one of the most graceful movers on a tennis court ever, and especially on clay. One of the first guys I remember sliding. I wanted to be him when I was a kid and would've loved one of those Donnay Borg Pro racquets. I have the pic of him on his knees with that racquet after beating McEnroe at Wimbledon in 1980.
