The last two or three seasons have been pretty disappointing. Are they stuck with bad contracts? Bad farm system? Seems they have completely fallen off after winning the WS in 2014

They should’ve started the rebuild last year but thought they could compete this year. It is probably gonna be 4 to 5 years til they start competing again for the playoffs.

They’re old. They should have started rebuilding last offseason. Maybe the one before that. They tried to patchwork a winning team after a bad season last year but I could see a mile away that wasn’t going to work.

The Giants sucking arse has ruined my last 2 seasons. Basically, the young stars from 2010-2014 have gotten older and we decided to sign older people as well to try to keep the golden years of Buster/Bum going.

That and Bochy still thinks they can win with good pitching/defense. Also the bullpen completely blows arse from whta it was

1. Posey not the same guy after the injury.

Went from lock for hall to decent catcher.

He's making huge bucks.
His bat is no longer great.

2. Belt was not worth the deal. Injuries.

3. Pitching injuries

4. Guys from last championship got old.
Their clutch hitting leadoff outfielder from 2 championships ago is 42 now. Pence is also old.
They are about to flush and re tool

Posey was the MVP after coming back from the injury! They just got too old. People forget that they were in prime position to win another even year World Series just two years ago. They had every opportunity to beat the Cubs that 2016 NLDS but had a complete meltdown in the 9th up 3. Jeremy Affedlt retiring is one huge reason for the drop-off. Panda leaving and getting extra super sized. Pretty much all the other stars and contributors have just gotten too old and/or been injured... alot. As someone already mentioned, they should have already started the rebuild after that monstrosity of last year, but decided to make one more run by adding Longoria and Mccutchen to what has to already be the oldest roster in the league. Seemingly, everyone they've brought in or signed has been subpar or gotten injured. I think I heard somewhere that Joe Panik was the only guy under 30 on the opening day roster. The days of trotting out a multiple Cy Young Lincecum and Bumgarner (the greatest post season pitcher of all time) and our other studs we've had on staff, along with a stellar bullpen are long gone. So yeah, it's gonna be awhile before we're gonna be able to be competitive again. And our farm system ain't nothing to write home about. But hey! I waited 30 years to win a World Series and these guys have blessed me with 3! I just pray I won't have to wait another 30.
