What's going on with UCLA?Hell, even if they don't wind up signing with UCLA why, as an 18 year old kid, would you not want to go on an all expenses paid trip to LA. Oh, by the way, ther're also going to treat you like a king on the visit

It's SoCal/LA. Everyone will consider with a decent recruiting coach. The ones who stay (at least as of recent) after weighing out their options trend toward the pretty boy soft side.

When you see UCLA's campus you won't be surprised. It's seriously gorgeous.

Plus you aren't far from the Pacific coast. Beaches and bitches everywhere

USC has much better looking girls than UCLA, but everything else about UCLA is better. The northeast side of campus borders bel-air and beverly hills and the beach is only 15 minutes away.

Except your facilities are worse than some big time high school programs and sub par compared to almost every school in the big conferences.

These kids all dream of playing in the NFL. Football players are made in the gym and in training facilities.

Like Jerry Rice( Valley)? Payton(JSU)? The thousands of other NFL players who have made the NFL from small schools?

Grambling's 4 NFL Hall of Famers(more than the superior LSU facilities)..etc...?

The myth that these kids 'need' these colleges(outside of NFL rules that force them into going) to make it to the NFL is foolishness.

Colleges don't 'make ' Pro football players they 'recruit' them(outside the occasional late growers/bloomers) to their college & nice facilities are an incentive .

Baseball does fine recruiting without going to fancy Big time college programs. Latin Americans don't have great Baseball facilities ,but somehow the pro scouts find them.

UCLA is nice, has some hills - decent buildings but nothing grand.

USC beats them in terms of the main library - horticultural - fountains - and sports complex...

Plus USC has a real center of campus...not UCLA...

Surrounding area in Westwood is nicer but they get their fair share of bums around campus just like USC...and USC is an island moreso than UCLA so you feel isolated in your own world and safe...unlike UCLA where any bum can walk on campus and they do! I would see them at UCLA hanging out in the student union sleeping on the benches watching TV.

UCLA's campus is freaking beautiful. I know you are a USC fan but come on, be real. I've been to both campuses and UCLA's is tons prettier and in a hell of a lot nicer area (you walk one block off UCLA's campus and you're either in Bel Air or Westwood, one block off SC's and you're in the ghetto).

Girls and (formerly) football are the only 2 things you guys have over UCLA. Everything else they win by a landslide. That's not so much an insult to USC as it is a compliment to UCLA.

The area directly off of USCs campus has gotten better, although you're, right UCLA is in a better location

we are talking about recruits out of high school, the only architecture they will care about are the beverly hills mansions they drive past to get to campus.

You have to remember that USC is about 40 years older than UCLA. People tend to think they are the same age and UCLA took the hills location and USC settled for just south of downtown. The founding fathers of those schools didn't know how that area was going to turn out 50-100 years later....
