What is going on with the LHSAA?

Is the LHSAA going to split up teams private and nonprivate? And does anybody know about a lawsuit they have going on right now?

tennessee did that. our school was in the private sector. it f'ing sucked.

They're not proposing a total split. What they're talking about is forming two additional classes which will be made up of select schools. Select schools are both private and charter/magnets which are selective in enrollment and draw from all over. They would still compete against publics during the regular season, just would fall into a different classification for playoff purposes. IMO, this should have been done years ago.

So how will the state champion be determined? Will they have 2 state champions? What about the lawsuit? the one with the sports management company
