Judging by people's posts about him on here, pissing off white people

His greatest accomplishment was making a lot of white people and several black people tons of money.

He was the perfect tool for the times, to be made into a super star, and promoters loved it.

He was undoubtedly the GOAT, real life "Requiem for a Heavyweight" character.

Look at the number of hours of useless drivel devoted to his memory today.

Promoters, writers, and TV Moguls made careers off Ali.

Thanks Ali for the years of entertainment. I just wish it would STOP.

This reminds me-- Ali also had the harshest for lack of a better word "vengeance" of any athlete we've ever seen-- the "what's my name" fight is honestly like something out of a movie it's so vicious.

Not knocking a guy out in 2 simply so you can continue to punish him for another 10 rounds-- good God he probably took years off of Floyd Patterson's life for a simple fight hype slight.

Wonder who wrote the script for that.

How many boxers have you seen beaten so badly that they died within hours or days after the bout?

Did you ever see the battles between Greenbay and NY Giants when Jimmy Taylor and Sam Huff played. Huff swore that Taylor bit him while they were piled up after he had tackled Taylor.

What about Tyson biting off Holyfied's ear.

Self-promotion. Nothing more.

Not a great person AT ALL.
