The committee got the 4 correct, so if TCU was put in at 4 then Ohio State could have certainly had a right to complain.

Circular reasoning? either way, we had a crappy system last year. we have a crappy system this year. next year, guess what. We will still have a crappy system. they don't want the 4 best teams anyway. They want the 4 teams that will make them the most money. It's a money business; not a fairness business.

and if ND was close they would always be there.

I'm not som sure about that. In 2012, Notre Dame was consistently ranked last among the undefeated teams, and only rose to #1 by default, after every other team lost.

so how do you think the Committee would have reacted if Ohio State struggled with a weak opponent?

I will say what I said before in another thread. The committee clearly was making up for the mistake of putting TCU 3rd the week prior.

And no one has responded to my earlier post in this thread wondering why all of you LSU fans are coming to the rescue of TCU/Baylor when your team/conference would be receiving the same treatment as tOSU if what you are proposing is true.

It's because of arrogance. LSU fans don't think a Big 10 champ should be treated the same was as an SEC champ.

So what make's you think TCU is better than tOSU?

Since this tread is all about hypotheticals let's continue it

IF Ohio State opens the season with Samford, Minnesota and SMU they are undefeated and the #1 seed playing Florida St on Jan 1st

I don't think so. Minnesota is better than Virginia Tech.

Not really a whole week just five days to down grade a team 3 full slots from #3 to #6 after all they did was score 50+ on a conference rival.

Face it the BIG 10 threw down some coin and bought you a silver spoon.

Arrogance? Who is being arrogant?

Not sure what this even means or who made that argument. To re-iterate, LSU/SEC would receive the same perceived treatment. the SEC is more of a media darling than the B1G at the moment.

So the committee screwed up very badly the week prior. And don't give me this conference rival bullshite. They are a 2 win team.

If that is what you think than you are being a hypocrite to think the SEC wouldn't do the same.

Moving TCU to 3rd was a very bad move.

By having TCU at 3.

Why are you not questioning how Baylor and FSU jumped them as well?

Some of you idiots like to pull all of these hypotheticals out of your arse but never stop to think that LSU and quite a few other SEC schools would be given the same treatment if what you are saying about how they got in is true
Agreed. But it doesnt change the fact that it is true. I have said since the beginning make OSU into Minnesota and Baylor into UT and we are talking about how it makes sense UT is in the final 4

This exactly what the committee wasn't allowed to do. You can pick a team because of match ups. That is very biased. They had to pick the best 4 teams at the time which happened to be Ohio State.

You asked why an LSU fan would defend TCU or Baylor and I answered your question. Generally speaking, SEC fans don't see any sort of equivalence between the SEC and the Big 10.

That's the way it should have been.

Wisconsin laid down.

It's a travesty. The system was fricked from the jump with only 4 spots for 5 conferences

Do you truly think tOSU with its third string quarterback is a real top four team in an honest assessment? Vegas doesn't think so what's the line 10+

SEC is treated just as well if not better by the media than the B1G. ESPN drives that agenda.
