I liked him on air on CBS for the SEC, but those tweets....not a good look. It seems like there's more backstory here about him than I am aware of. If you asked me my opinion of Brandon before opening this thread, I would've said I liked him calling games. Of course, if you'd asked me in the 90s as a kid if I thought Keith Olbermann was a good dude, I'd have said yeah.

So what's the deal with Brando?

Brando was one of those who had everything to make it huge and never could pull it off.

I kinda figured he made it to the top of the mountain for sports broadcasting. He was the in studio guy for the SEC games, was doing his own show on Sirius, was popping in on other shows on Sirius like Bill King/ F-bomb, and would call some NFL games. Guess it sucks though trying to stay relevant when you fall off the mountain.

You change the channel because of Brando but you listen to fricking Moscona? Goodness

Ha! Yeah, I don't hate Mascona as much as some here - though I can only take him in small doses, like my 20 minute drive home.

Ironically, I do see a lot of Brando in Mascona.

What I remember about Tim was that he predicted either the last LSU football national championship or the one before, preseason and stuck with the prediction the entire season. Ended up being correct.

He also predicted Bama to win the title in 2000 - they went 3-8. I also remember that same year before our Peach Bowl game against Ga. Tech that we had no shot to win because GT was better than us "at every position on the field".

At least he got one right in 2019.

He is the guy they say about - "often wrong but never in doubt".
