We're not going out of our way to discredit him, either.

Not a circle jerk. Just people that dispute unarguable facts.

People will laugh at posts that say that stats could be inflated when if you are a NBA guy you know stats are often Inflated.

And say stuff like Westbrook is MVP favourite when we have tons of evidence saying he isn't. Just a lot of low iq posters.

And there are other star players who don't average nearly 2 assists more at home than on the road, and their records are better at home than on the road too.

Westbrook's stats are a bit inflated. It's okay to be honest and admit it.

Waiting for you to actually support your argument

And of course most other stars don't wouldn't have as big of a difference...Most also don't have as many assists

Yea, that isn't just "better at home", that's night and day.

Nothing personal but hey there could be MVP voters reading this thread. I'm doing what I can to get James what he deserves.

I posted 2 links to show that what I'm saying isn't some kooky theory.

Some NBA scorekeepers really do inflate their star's numbers... especially when it comes to assists since there is room to be subjective.

I've said over and over again Harden deserves the MVP but you do realize most of the posters that are saying Westbrook deserves it are doing it just to piss you off right?

Cool

Now create the argument, with support, that it is happening with Westbrook.

I've already given reasonable explanations for the difference

They also, shockingly, score more at home and shoot a significantly higher percentage at home. He plays more minutes at home. fricking crazy that these would contribute to a difference in home/away splits

So if OKC finishes strong against their remaining schedule, which is weak and OKC gets the 4 seed (2 games out) and Houston is 3rd, Westbrook will be getting 4th place votes while averaging 30/11/10? Not a chance

I'm not sure it's a good idea to assume a motive. Especially when you see some of the other posts that come from some of these guys.

Fyi it doesn't piss me off anyways. I love talking hoops and setting the record straight to try to help others see the game through my eyes.

Yes. Billy Simmons already said Russ is 4th bc of the top four he is the only one on a team who isn't a contender.

You know what saying Westbrook's assists are inflated moreso than Harden's is?

Assuming a motive...

Scott van pelt posts here and has posted that you'd be very surprised at who reads the board here.

That was an article by a national guy. If he has a motive I'm unaware of it.

Without evidence, it's assuming a motive. Doesn't matter who says it.

Pointing out the home/road difference only does not prove anything. And to be fair, Haberstroh said something along the lines of it being possible or maybe they're doing it. Other Rockets posters in this thread have stated it as a fact, big difference.

Why? Because they're assuming a motive.

I remember calling it 'food for thought' ie something to consider. That's hardly stating it as fact.

"hey we know these numbers can be inflated and it looks like Russ's could be"

Something like that. That's the tone we using here.

Good for you!

Other Rockets folk have said his "assists are bullshite" so there's that bit of assuming a motive.

Harden and Westbrook are both having crazy seasons but remember both of their numbers are so good because of how much they dominate the ball in their respective systems. I think both are on pace to break the record for most turnovers in a season but I'm not 100% sure.
