Rummel would probably not have scored on Neville either. The two best teams in the state met in the regular season with West Monroe winning 30-27.

BTW, I predicted 31-0 and you said I was being cocky and an a-hole. Seems I was just being accurate.
like i said, the score was misleading
WM scored twice on a short field, once after a horrible INT that left them 20 yards from the endzone
one was a 37 yard drive
then the classless TD at the end
not like WM offense dominated. They had 3-4 big gains, all by Turner. Otherwise, a lot of negative plays and no gains.
could have easily ended 16-0

WM fans were complaining because there wasn't a block in the back on Turner's long run
yeah, that was horrible. I never said they were good refs. But biased?

They also called a facemask on WM for a stiff arm by the running back
i was in the opposite endzone and i called that from there. It was pretty blatant. it happened on Rummel's sideline so u prob didnt get a good look at it.

Was it the scrubs making that touchdown? If so, I have no problem with it, and anyone who does is just
Rummel had conceded, thats why I have a problem with it. They punted the drive before instead of trying to score.
WM ran to start the drive, im pretty sure Rummel expected them to run more or even kneel on the ball.
the last thing they expected was a pass and im pretty sure Shows knew he had 6 if he indeed wanted to call a pass.
in the grand scheme it doest matter, and i really dont care either way. But the act itself was classless.

I wish Rummel won but congrats on West Monroe anyway.

How classless?
The game is 4 quarters long, 12 minutes each. You play all 48 minutes of the game.
sore loser..

not being a sore loser, i would say that as an outsider anyway.
it was quite apparent to me the game was over at halftime with Rummel not being able to move the ball. I thought the play calling would be a little more creative, but i cant control that.

plus they had the 2nd string in the game.

You're 100% wrong.

it was 3rd down and like 3 minutes to go in the game..
plus, didnt the 3rd string TE break a few tackles to score?

Rummel just punted on 4th down. Down 23. Most would say they threw the towel in after that. I guess WM didn't see it as that. Rummel may have went for 23 in 1:20 so they had to score i guess

Hell why dont we give all the teams a Championship trophy. that way nobodys feelings gets hurt.Damn you are on the field to play football. You play til the clock says 0000 on it. I guess they should put the cheerleadrs on the field instead on the young men.If rummel gave up at the end of the game that is on them. So quit crying bout WM scoring late. Just play football and quit all the crying....

WM was on the 10 yard line with 3+ minutes left in the game.. wouldnt it have been more humiliating for Rummel if WM just knelt the ball against the vaunted Rummel D?
Posted on 12/13/09 at 12:27 pm to LSUTigers1972
Seriously. WM pulled the starters. If Rummel needs more than that to avoid humiliation, that's not WM's business.

right, cause that how it works
obviously you havent played football

If Rummel can't play hard for 48, why are they there?
I dont think they gave up or stopped playing hard. I think they were geared up to stop the run and werent expecting a pass down 23 with like 1:30 left after they had just punted to concede the game.

Rewarding the underclassmen for hard work? Classless?
you reward them by just getting them in the game. Running the ball can have the same affect.
classless, yes.

Rummel was suppose to have the #1 Defense, and let a bunch of 2nd strings score on them...

If I pull my starters and you still can't stop 'em, tough shite. Coaches teach their players to play hard 100% of the time.

You've got no argument here, Les.

did u even watch the game??
it was a 25 yard TD pass and the clock was under 2:00minutes

Don Shows showed class by pulling the starters.
