Speaking of turf grass, I worked at Audubon park in New Orleans one summer when I was still at LSU. It was right after they remodeled it and the superintendent graduated from State. He was a good dude.
I started out doing simple stuff, but by the end I had worked my up and was on a Jacobson Triking cutting fairways
.
It was a blast, after work I would usually play 9 or 18. Good stuff.

39 on front missed 5 greens. Taught a lesson then corrected a swing problem I had. Shot 34 on back missing 2 greens. Good day!

Yeah, I think we have the 3rd largest undergrad enrollment for turf. One of the oldest programs in the SE too, so a lot of the superintendents throughout the region are from MSU.

I played worse. Shot an 86 out there. Front nine was atrocious. Doubles and bogeys all I could manage. Played better on back but nothing great.

Tied Michael with an 86. Lost control of my tee shots after the turn.

I rarely suggest the tips but I won't back down if someone else wants to play them
I feel like my handicap warrants enough talent to play them, but the one ups are definitely more fun
