Srixon is coming out with a "new" ball soon. Dick's had ZStar yellows for $27ish couple of weeks ago. Got 4 dozen yellows
When the ZStars are gone then we will be left with $40 premium balls again or hitting something else.

My buddy got a 2 ball sleeve of the new Srixons. He said it was so soft you could scratch it with your fingernail.

Just got off Belle Terre.

Greens are f'd. Double D is right.

Got 18 in between the showers though. Pretty course lay out. They said they're about to shut'er down and re-do them.

Bama may be interested. That's his area of expertise.

I would be interested in what they are doing. Was this a planned renovation or did they just lose the greens and decided to redo them?

Bermuda I'm guessing?

Well, the guy in the pro shop told me that over he years they just got smaller and smaller.

They are going to re-do them to the original size, and probably put some more breaks in them. It's a nice course. The greens just don't have it anymore. Lots of dead spots.

When they re-open in 4 or 5 months, they're doing memberships for $190 a month for a family. I thought that was a good deal. I may drink about it.

That's a real good deal for a family. I'll be your adopted 23 year old son.

I guess they had encroachment from the fairway/fringe/rough grass.

There are a bunch of holes guarded by water. I think they lost them as a result of that. It's a dye course. Lots of target shots to set up approach, and then green protected by water/sand.

They said they found the old 'markers' under the greens?? Not sure what that meant. ....and that they were going to expand them back to the original design. I kind of wish I knew that course was there before this, but going back when they're re done will be better.

They have a pool too, and a pond.

Not sure what that means either to be honest. Hopefully the new greens will be done right.

I'll have some pictures tomorrow of my green. Though probably wont be much of a difference.

How many months would you think they'd have to stay closed to repair and be ready if they started next month? They said 4, and I thought about you immediately.

Seems like it'll never be ready. That's an LSU thing. You might not get it.

Four months sounds about right. A few weeks to tear up the old greens and make them bigger for the original size. A week to get them sprigged. Then about 2.5-3 months for them to get fully established and in playing shape. Probably about 10-12 weeks to reach full cover.

Assuming all goes right.

How are Aug-Oct as far as growing months. Seems pretty prime.

Does that help?

Nothing for the family to do while I'm smokin' fools on that course....

Well, the family that's gonna be...

I want L'Augusta. I want it like the blonde on prom night.

Why don't you join so I'll know some people out there?

They'll have some stuff eventually. I'm considering joining, but I get to play 2-3 times a month, so it doesn't pay to get a membership yet. I want to say a membership with unlimited range balls and unlimited cart is 300

Then that would be reasonable. Plus, it'd be a shorter drive than to BT.

Both are nice, but LT is in that growth phase. Maybe that's a better time to get in, now that I think about it as compared to a remodel phase at BT.

Well, I hit that 910 with the cut shaft today. Front 9 was a little tricky. Then, on the back, when I had confidence in the thing, it was great.
