Did I mention the blind tee shots? remember to aim for the pole!

honestly though... it's a great course, you'll enjoy it.

I got a really early tee time

I'd love to be paired with someone

I don't love playing alone that much but I'll survive if I have to

Is the Palmer course as hilly as the Resort? I want to say #1 on the resort was a par 5, 630 from the middle set of tees and waaayyyyyyy downhill

Tell my uncle hello for me. He's a short, Italian, prick. Looks like Hitler with his stupid little moustache.

When I played I got paired with an old man with a Scottish accent, a guy in his 30's/40's with an Australian accent, and a 13 year old with an American accent. Through talking I find out they are grandfather/son in law/ grandson. The son in law worked 1/2 mile from my house for Schlumberger in Houma. Frickin small world.

it's pretty hilly, but not so much that it really affects your game. with all those SA courses you deal with the wind more than anything.

one piece of advice to croacka - when it's windy, especially a strong crosswind, club down one or two clubs and take a 3/4 swing to keep the ball flighted low and out of the wind. that 25 mph wind there will eat some shots up.

I'm 6'2". I think it makes him nervous.

Croacka, I played alone today. Every once in a while is cathartic. You'll be talking to yourself by the approach on #1.

I remember one par 4 out there has a tee on like a 75 foot cliff. I remember thinking "wht stupid bastard cuts this?" It was literally on the edge of the cliff with a net in front

I was able to make a tee time a few hours ago for tomorrow so I don't know how busy it is right now

I just have to play early so that I don't use up too much of the day

Hopefully I'll have a few minutes on the range first

Turn on some music, or the morning radio on your phone if you are by yourself.

I could have stayed on the range/ practice area all day. That huge clubhouse on the hill overlooking everything was awesome. I want to take a vacation out there again and play both courses. But I played early on Monday or Tuesday in December when it was 30 degrees, and there were 4somes going off every 15 minutes. I would be surprised if you play with 2 or alone

ETA : The concierge at our hotel got me a tee time about 1 1/2 hours before I played. I had to haul arse out to the hill country from the riverwalk

Short irons and wedges are holding me back right now

I don't want to embarrass myself in front of people I don't know

That's who I would rather play like crap in front of personally. They only get to make fun of me for 5 hours and not the rest of my life
