Was the pro at Ellendale a long time ago. Played tour golf for 16 years.

Wife just asked if there was any way I could take off early on thursday, told her if there was any way I could get off early this week that I would be hitting up La Tour on Wed. It didn't go over well

Golf question, anyone here find hitting with a weak grip vs a strong provides a higher ball flight?

Well sure. A weak grip won't allow the club face to turn over as much, making the club face more open at impact if you aren't used to it.

Intensified by an out to in path

Thanks. Is it recommended? I've been playing strong but I'm very inconsistent.

Watching this '71 us open replay on golf channel amazes how good these guys were with the equipment they played. They were playing with butter knife irons, wooden drivers and a ball that spun like a mother fricker if mishit. I wonder what a Trevino or Nicklaus would do in their prime with today's equipment. It would seem like a different game to them

If you can play it. A grip is a grip.

Then don't play it. Go to a more neutral grip and give it some time to kick in.

Impact with those irons sounded violent.

If the two persimmon drivers I ordered come in on time, I am going to put one in play in a tournament Saturday that I am playing. I guarantee that I can hit it just as far if not further than my current driver(s)

My dad used to have a set of mcgregor blades from the '70's. i I brought em to the range one time and if you mishit it one bit ball would fly way off target and it would sting like hell.

I'm tempted to find an old set of 70's irons and learn to hit em well. It would make my modern irons seem like a joke. Probably would improve my game.

Anyone ever heard of this book or author? Had it recommended to me today, and I vaguely remember her being a hidden gem on tour years back.
