I had to renovate it. I thought it was full of nitro but apparently someone was mad.

No actually buying the piece and putting it on the shaft.
I doubt it's as simple as trimming the tip
It is that simple... Trim the tip, glue, set...new shaft.

It's a poorly designed course. 9 and 13 are terrible.
So 2 holes make a course?

How much do you need to cut the butt to keep the length
Posted on 5/19/14 at 9:40 am to unbeWEAVEable
You're either born with length or you ain't baw. Quit worrying about it, it was predetermined

I'm not a contractor, but it sounds like you're renovating a club.
Posted on 5/19/14 at 9:40 am to unbeWEAVEable
Probably 1/2" but it really depends on the tip
Just measure it with the old shaft and then measure the new shaft before you cut it, but after you've installed it

Could y'all not berate a legitimate golf question with the same old bullshite that you force people to read 7 days a week?
Posted on 5/19/14 at 9:41 am to unbeWEAVEable
Each shaft website has a "trimming guide" some shafts need to be tipped .5" to achieve their true flex. Most suggest tipping 1" if installed into a fw wood.

if new i could see a seller asking $250, but he is never going to get that. A pull will sell for about $125 max.
