Has anyone check out the latest big break series - BBFlorida the talent on their is meh. One of the chicks "Mary" is from Nebraska - I think - could play center for the Huskers.

She's from Omaha. I would fight her.
Forget golf. I can't watch women play golf unless they're name is Morgan Pressel.

Have you played La Tour? It.s pretty linksy as well. A lot of native areas and the green fronts are mostly open to a run up shot.
The main difference between true links and links style is the a true links are built on sand. The ground is firmer and you can play the ball along the ground. Green fronts on a true links course are open, meaning the bunkers are more on the side of the green.
Even Whistling Straights and Shinnecock aren't true links in that the green surrounds aren't firm enough to roll or bounce the ball in.

La Tour is my next course to play, but it is far.

Being built on sand would cause it to be softer.

Yall still going on about that course. It wasn't too bad just not worth the money to play IMO. should be more around $45-50 tops. The bluffs is much better and can get on sometimes for $45. I would play there again but only if I got a good deal to make it worth the drive. But I agree with Jakes the next outing needs to be somewhere in BR or NO.

I had someone film my swing and I've spotted what I think to be my issue with consistency.
On my back swing I rise up which causes me to jam myself up a lot on my downswing. Any good advice guys on how to work on this?

slow motion practice swings with your head leaning against the wall
or get a friend to hold your head or hold a club on top of your head

Softer than wet mud?
Do you watch the British Open? They bounce the ball into the greens. The drives roll out forever.

I thought you played latour for free whenever you wanted?
Backtracking on that now?

the wind at those courses dries out and hardens the ground there. Not the sand or mud beneath it.
