What's the real scoop on the weather.

I saw forecasts for 46 degrees and slight rain. That's not bad for a guy who's played on frozen tundra.

Newsflash: The coach/owner/GM of the Lakers (that would be me) has put an official, one-night only, hex on Thomas Jones. He is playing for Lakers' opponent tonight and Lakers staff has vowed that nothing will stop the current five-game winning streak.
Owners of Thomas Jones, be warned.

quote:Damn, now I am concerned...Is this the Nostradamus "with a sense of humor" curse or a green light to start Jones, lol.
Owners of Thomas Jones, be warned.
Edit: I am gonna go with Jones, for nothing more than bragging rights

Nostradamus
EDIT: Voo Doo, I wouldn't do that. Wasn't it you who just a few posts ago said NOT to start Jones?

quote:I have to ask, are you starting 3 WRs? If so, then you'll be down to three. But also, I don't have the NFL channel, but isn't Thomas Jones on the field right now? No one's going to make a trade when the guy's in the game.

trade deadline is next week..and yes we start 3 wr's

quote:Well, that's not really what I meant. I mean that I would assume that TJ's current owner is starting him right now. If he scores 5 TDs, I'm thinking this trade offer is moot. If he bombs (per the hex discussed in a post above), then maybe you'll nix the trade. I guess I'm just suprised that you're discussing a trade like this whem there's a game in progress.
trade deadline is next week..
That said, I'm guessing you start two RBs? If that's the case, I think that Portis will be back, so don't be too worried about him. If you're just worried that Hightower and McGahee are going to give you enough production, this could be a good trade for you. Moore's production is not really an issue because he'll produce when Parker's out and won't produce when Parker plays. I will say this though.
I know Detroit is awful right now. But don't count them out in terms of fantasy production. Last time I saw Culpepper really wing the ball, it went far. And that Calvin guy can really run. I say this only as a word of caution. Once Calvin's gone, you're going to be sick everytime he has 125 yards receiving with one to two TDs.
The flip side of that is that he's doing you no good on your bench. I will have to give the proposed trade a thumbs up. Now, hope that Jones doesn't break a leg in the game tonight.

great feedback!! our rosters are set once the game started tonight so the trade would be for next weeks games...kinda like jones because he gets all the carries and I dont like calvins situation at qb and future matchups...that said.. I would need plaxico to wake up the remainder of the season

Probably a little late to start MOSS, huh?
None of these really jump out at me as impressive. Chambers has been sucking, Williams hasn't done much yet in Dallas, Devery is hit or miss, and Clayton hasn't done much at all until the last 2 weeks (even then not great numbers).
I'm by no means an "expert" but I'd go with Williams (vs WAS) and Devery (vs KC).
