Start Delhomme at home against the lowly Lions

OR

Favre TONIGHT at the PATS, Thurs Night Football, in the rain, sleet and snow???

Come on, I need this!!!!!

I'd go with Delhomme, and I say that with confidence because I'm starting him myself. Who should I bench out of:

Thomas Jones @ Pats
Reggie Bush vs. KC
LT @ Steelers

here is what Fox says about Colston

quote:

Impact: Colston finally turned in a breakout game in Week 10 and we're salivating over his Week 11 matchup against the injury-depleted Chiefs. According to head coach Sean Payton, Colston's knee injury is just swelling that resulted from a knee problem that has bothered him for about a year and a half. As of now, it sounds as if it will be safe to deploy Colston this weekend.

This decision is beyond my area of expertise at the moment. My first question is whether you're sure about the rain, sleet, and snow? If you are, that would not bode well for any QB.

Since I have no real opinion, I'll share this quote from the Start 'Em, Sit 'Em on cbssportsline. Both QBs are in the "start" column:
quote:

Jake Delhomme (vs. DET): Throw out last week's game at Oakland when Delhomme passed for 72 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions. In fact, throw out every road game for Delhomme this season. He's just not good away from Carolina, so it's a good thing he's back in the friendly confines this week. In five home games, Delhomme has passed for 1,101 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions compared to 752 yards, two touchdowns and seven interceptions in four games on the road. It also helps that he's facing Detroit, which has allowed 244.9 passing yards per game with 15 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Look for the Panthers passing game to rebound this week, which means Steve Smith will have more than one catch for 9 yards.
Brett Favre (at NE): Favre hasn't been good on the road and hasn't been good for Fantasy owners recently. In his past two road games, Favre has no touchdowns and three interceptions at Oakland and Buffalo. Overall, Favre has four touchdowns and eight interceptions in his past five games, but he did snap a seven-game interception streak against the Rams last week. The Jets won't be able to run against the Patriots, so look for Favre to be forced to make plays. In the first meeting in Week 2, Favre was limited to 181 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. New England's pass defense has fallen apart since then with Rodney Harrison (thigh) and Adalius Thomas (forearm) out. The Patriots have allowed 14 passing touchdowns this year, so Favre will have a chance for a good game.

Whatch think?

Kevin Faulk (against Jets)
Earnest Graham (Questionable against Vikings)
Ryan Grant (against Bears)

Points per reception league. Other running back is Ronnie Brown & will play. Need another.

Ace, thought you might be interested to know that the cbs start 'em/sit 'em says to sit Jones and LT. Here's the quote for Jones:
quote:

Bust alert: Thomas Jones (at NE): Jones has already matched his career high with nine touchdowns this season. He has seven touchdowns in his past five games and ran for 149 yards and three scores last week against St. Louis. But the Patriots will contain Jones this week. In three meetings with New England as a member of the Jets, Jones has 131 rushing yards and no touchdowns, including 17 carries for 70 yards in Week 2 this year. The Patriots run defense has been stellar this year outside of one game. If you remove Week 3 against Miami from the schedule, the Patriots have yet to allow a rushing touchdown this season. With Vince Wilfork leading the way, the Patriots front seven has been dominant and will stop Jones' recent successful run.
The news for LT wasn't any better. My initial inclination would be to advise you to go with LT. When in doubt, start your star. You drafted him No. 1. Might as well.

But then I saw the post above saying there's a forecast of rain, sleet and snow tonight. I haven't checked weather.com, but you should. If the weather is bad enough, it could be good news for the running backs with sure hands.

I'm in a similar situation with Graham as my 2nd RB. I wanted to sit him this week since he's hurt plus he's going against Min. If I do that leaves me with Benson starting ahead of him.

For your situation I would go with Grant. I don't think Faulk is the answer. I think BGE will have a much better game.

Thanks for the RB advice yesterday. Unfortunately since I'm 2nd to last on my waiver wire I wasn't able to get who I wanted and am stuck with Benson. I may pick up Bell or Cadillac if I see they're actually producing though.

I need one WR, One RB and Two Flex
Vincent Jackson @ PIT
Dwayne Bowe vs NO
Steve Breaston @ SEA
Kevin Curtis @ CIN (Is he poised to return to form or just wishful thinking)

Marshawn Lynch vs CLE
Deuce @ KC
LJ vs NO

Starting receivers are Andre Johnson and Brandon Marshall with Brandon Jacobs at RB

I'm hesitant at the KC players b/c I also have Gonzalez at TE and I try to avoid playing all 3

I would say yes on Gore. Jacobs is a beast but the Ravens tend to play to their competition, and DeAngelo you never know what performance you will get. Williams looks like the smart choice, but then again so did Delhomme last week against OAK. I would put in Jacobs b/c I think the Delhomme will be throwing.
