I have never heard of a shoulder sublixation, which is what Willie has. Is that any different than a torn labrum?
Lucky for ya'll I deal with this stuff everyday. A subluxation is when the shoulder pops out and then goes right back in. A torn labrum can result from this type of action. The labrum is cartilage that deepens the shoulder cavity. Hope that answers your question and now you have had your anatomy lesson for the day

I was really praying Torain would hold up and be special, that was my Ride into the playoffs, now I have to work for it.

+1

I've pretty much got a playoff berth locked up in my league but I was hoping he would provide some depth once I got there. I have Graham as my #2 RB and I look for him to drop off some. I dropped BGE for Torain a few weeks back and now I'm kicking myself.

As far as Bell, I'm not sure how good he's going to end up being but he's got to be better than Hillis I would think.

Thanks for the info., Dawg. I'm off now to make up a drinking game that involves the word sublixation. I just like the way it sounds.

Damn, didn't see this post. I'm on it now though.
Looks like the top 3 RB's in my three leagues are Ricky Williams may be worth picking up against Oak (not sure who is on your waivers) and of course Pittman vs SF and I would say K. Smith, but he is too wishy washy for me. I think may pick up Williams just for the hell of it.

of course Pittman vs SF
That's a game even a mother couldn't watch. Plus, do we know who's starting for the Rams? And, even if we do know who's starting, does anyone care?

I have Ricky Williams sitting on my bench as insurance. I hope I never need to play him. It was nice though watching him and Mewelde (also on my bench) racking up the points this last week. BTW, Steelers say Parker is gonna start.

no doubt, even if WP does start, with the way MM has played, I feel pretty sure they will continue using him on 3rd down + a little "moore" hopefully.

ah, did not hear that, I just heard it was basically still in the air.

Well, this is what is on cnnsi.com:
quote:

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Steelers running back Willie Parker will return to practice Wednesday, and coach Mike Tomlin is optimistic Parker will play Sunday against the San Diego Chargers.

Parker has played only once since spraining his knee Sept. 21 in Philadelphia, running for 70 yards in a Monday night win over the Washington Redskins on Nov. 3 in which he dislocated his shoulder.

"The shoulder popped out briefly during the course of the Redskins game and it popped back into place," Tomlin said, denying reports that Parker had a torn labrum. "Adrenaline or what have you didn't allow him to recognize it during the course of game. He came in (last) Tuesday, took a look at it and of course it was very painful."

Parker was leading the NFL in rushing last season before breaking his leg during the next-to-last regular season game in St. Louis. He has 333 yards and four touchdowns on 87 carries this season.

With rookie Rashard Mendenhall out for the season with a broken shoulder, Mewelde Moore has been Pittsburgh's featured back in three of the past four games. Although he has scored six touchdowns, the Steelers' rushing offense has struggled in recent weeks, totaling only 214 yards on the ground the past three games.
Hey, Dawg, don't think I didn't notice this

Also, Voo Doo, notice that they mention Moore struggling. He was limited to 57 or so yards on the ground this past week with another 40-something in the air. Against a pretty soft D, that's not saying much. I know the Chargers aren't the world's toughest D, but whose worse, Indy or San Diego?

Matt Forte @GB
Steve Slaton @Ind
Flex
Michael Turner vs Den
WR
Marques Colston @KC
Andre Johnson @Ind

Dolphins vs Oak
K
David Akers @Cin

Bench
Aaron Rodgers vs Chi
Adrian Peterson @TB
Brett Favre @NE
Chris Chambers @Pit
Thomas Jones @NE

Can you believe that this team is doing the worst out of all 4 pro and 1 college? BTW my college ff championship is this weekend but the other guy has one player tonight. Interested in giving your thoughts on my college one?

damn, that's worse than (insert sordid metaphor). Must have been some short yardage TD's because MM (although I only started him once) has been putting up some pretty decent numbers. I figured I may give him one more shot (depending on the final word on Parker) this weekend. The other RB's (start 2) I have on that team are:
M Moore vs SD
M Turner vs Den
J Addai vs Hou
R Torain (will get Williams or Pittman tonight)

This is an impressive team. How many teams in the league? Can't be many. BTW, I can't believe you're going to bench Peterson in favor of Slaton and Forte. I think you may need to reconsider there.

I can't do the college because I don't know enough about the players outside the SEC and the Big 12. I don't know how you keep up with it.

I think Williams is better than Pittman, and you don't know when Jackson is going to be back. However, Williams is really hit or miss, so Addai may be a better start with Turner than Ricky. I realize that Addai was shaky last week, but the Steelers are a pretty tough D. Houston will be a lot more RB friendly. Also, you might consider picking up Tatum Bell over Pittman or Williams. Bell might be able to do something in Denver. Guy's been without a paycheck a couple of months. That tends to be a motivator. Keep an eye on Moore. He's a must start with Parker out, but questionable with Parker in.

It's not set in stone by any means. I am working on a Tony Gonzales trade and making some of my bench guys look like I am starting them. It is amazing to me that some people actually look at the lineup and would rather have a "starter" than a bunch guy

I actually put more time in my college league than my pro ones (except for the $ one). The college ff league is actually way more fun to me. You should try one

True, this is why I held on to Addai (it cost me one game)

Yeah, he does know the playbook and I will give it a look.

Agree again, If Parker is out, I will definitely go with Moore and Turner, if not, Turner and Addai most likely. I need to do some reading up on T Bell (at work of course ) this week.

I was gonna pick up a free agent qb Tyler Thigpen{sp}. I am curious as to what yall think. I need to replce Edwards because of no points lately.

I was also gonna sit LT, no tds lately so little points. He is up against a good d this week so I don't see him scoring much. Plus i was reading that he is becoming worried as to the running game. He would not say specifics, that he wanted to keep it in house.
? He has doubts which gives me doubts.
