quote:Well, that's why I was asking about return yards. Do you get them? If not, I think Williams is a safer start. Stewart has had a couple of off games recently, and Williams came on pretty strong right before the bye. The only thing I worry about is them sticking Stewart in on the goal line. If you get points for yards (and fractions of points for yards), then I think you'll want to go with Williams unless there's news out of Carolina that the team is changing its prior strategy.
So if I were to drop Galloway, would you pick up D Williams or Stewart?

I'm sorry, no, we do not get points for return yds. I had Stewart but dropped him for reasons beyond my control, now he's on the market but so is Williams. I'm pretty sure I can get one of them just not sure of the order I want to go.

quote:If you're familiar with my prior posts, you'll know that I think Shockey and Cooley are thugs. So, remember that I'm not a fan when you consider my opinion. Also, did you see this on cbssportsline:
Kellen Winslow or Jeremy Shockey at TE this week?
quote:I think Winslow has the easier match up this week, but who knows what will happen with Quinn under center. On the other hand, TEs are the go-to guys for inexperienced QBs.
Shockey still has the most upside of the three [tight ends on the Saints roster], but the Saints might have already tired of his injuries and his attitude.
All of the above makes this a tough decision. Shockey should be the better play and the Saints should score more points overall. If Winslow does well, it won't shock me, but if he does better than Shockey, Shockey will need to update his resume.

Do you think that Ryan will do better?
Ryans put up 250/1.75/.75 and is going against and equally bad passing D in New Orleans. Plus there is the chance it could turn in to a scoring battle against NO. So I'm going with Ryan I guess.

quote:To be honest with you, the trade sounds like apples for apples, but the way CJ has been playing and the cowboys heading in the wrong direction, I think you will be getting the better deal. That is just my take without researching schedules, etc. I am sure wrl will be along soon to give you a more in-depth analysis. I would do it.

I don't think it will matter who he's playing during the playoffs. Romo will be back, R. Williams will know the playbook, and they'll be fighting for a playoff spot. Meanwhile...Chris Johnson is a rookie. He's sure to hit the wall soon. Also, Tennessee definitely could lock homefield advantage up very early. That would make CJ useless as they would rest him up for the playoffs. I wouldn't do it.

RB- Ronnie Brown
RB- Ladanian Tomlinson
RB3-?
Who goes in the 3rd slot out of these three:
Jamal Charles
Tim Hightower
Deangelo Williams
right now I have Hightower in there but am considering Williams since Carolina will go up early on Oakland and just pound the ground in the second half.

quote:I agree with this, but I also agree with JJ27 that there is some late season risk with Chris. By the way, I saw him interviewed on NFL Live last night and guy sounds like an idiot and a thug. I would keep Barber based on nothing besides that embarassment.
the trade sounds like apples for apples
If you haven't done the trade, you might want to rethink. Johnson has had some really explosive games, but may have a few weak ones in his future. Barber's history makes it probable that he'll be consistent, although he'll probably lose some of his explosive potential when Jones gets back. Can't go wrong with either of these guys. What do you think is the motivation of the other guy in the trade? Also, are you looking for a starter for this week?

If you had to trade away Brandon Marshall or Reggie Wayne to better another position, which one would it be? I'm leaning towards trading away Wayne.

quote:I think that Brandon Marshall is going to be in serious trouble if he doesn't stop shooting off his mouth. But besides that, if you need a running back, Hightower is a good one. Marshall has been pretty good, but lately Denver seems to be a little off their early-season pace. I think this proposed trade depends on needs and remaining depth more than it does on talent given or talent received.

quote:I agree with Wayne. I can't believe that's the case, but he just hasn't been a top-flight WR this year. I keep waiting for Indy to take off and maybe they will, but Marshall has been a force for Denver (until just recently). Beware, however, on this week's game. Marshall has been talking big. Such antics often spell trouble for wide-outs who can't back up their talk when they get on the field.

So, with schaub down for a month I'm kind of screwed. I still have T. Edwards, but should I pick up S. Rosenfelds, quinn, or culpepper? Or should I just keep schaub and start edwards?
