Wednesday CFB: Jacksonville State at FIU - CBSSN 6pm / UTEP at Sam Houston - ESPN2 7pm

6:00pm
Jacksonville State (6-2) at FIU (4-4) - CBSSN
Rich Rodriguez and the JSU Gamecocks look to continue their surprising first season in FBS as they travel to Miami to play the FIU Panthers led by Mike MacIntyre. JSU is technically bowl eligible if there are not enough 6-6 teams eligible but would likely be behind James Madison in the selection process if that scenario occurs. W/game at MSTU, at Arkansas and against WKU remaining this contest is critical for FIU's bowl hopes. These two have only met once all time when JSU beat FIU 19-10 in 2020.
7:00pm
UTEP (2-6) at Sam Houston (0-7) - ESPN2
Dana Dimel signed a 2 year extension in 2022 though he may still need to win out if he is to make it to year 2 of that contract. 5 of UTEP's 6 losses have been by double digits w/the only close game being a 20-17 loss to Jacksonville State to open the season. Meanwhile, in Huntsville, KC Keeler is enduring the worst season in his 30 years as a HC. This is the first time a team he has coached has lost 7 games and just the 4th he has lost 6. Sam Houston hung tough in games against BYU and Air Force and could have easily won their 3 contests against Jacksonville State, FIU, and Liberty w/the former two games ending in OT and the latter w/Sam Houston failing to score from the 4 yard line in 4 tries.

does anyone have the CUSA TV selection order? Are they all picked before the season even starts? Seems odd that CBSSN keeps getting the better games over ESPN.

Jax State has been on TV more this season than in all of it's previous seasons combined.

A proper reward for proper heroes after they beat fsu.

UTEP ML is interesting since they are playing a winless team. Even though they have been hot garbage themselves

CBS is the primary carrier so they get first selection. I think ESPN gets second and then CBS gets third. I think ESPN gets one or maybe two weeks they get first pick.
But yeah CBS is primary media partner

..... oops. I would hate to be on the receiving end of that conversation when the wrong jerseys were discovered.

Tied game at 7
Kinda hope to see SH get their first win of the year. They have lost some close ones.

Sounds like the weather for our game is cold wet and windy. Should be a good game Saturday.

FIU gets a TD to cut the score to 27-16

I missed it I just have the other game on. It looked like a blowout so I haven't checked back on it. Looks like FIU's trying to get back in it.
