Gosh that is some horrific basketball
maybe 2 people on the court could compete in 2026...
the evolution of the game sure saved the game.

The Magic are +10.5 tonight. I think the Pistons win, but line seems ridic.

ORL @ DET 6pm ORL up 3-1
**Would love to see ORL close it out, but DET will win and the series will go back to ORL. Two gawd awful teams that no one truly wants to watch.
TOR @ CLE 6:30pm Series 2-2
**Almost similar to the ORL/DET series. Like PMT said on their pod, this is a classic MID off. Neither team is great, neither team is good. You would think that CLE could be fun but truly never play to their potential. CLE should win, then TOR, then CLE in Game 7
HOU @ LAL 9pm LAL up 3-1
**Lakers SHOULD close it out tonight. It will be frisky in the 1Q, Lakers will pull away. HOU will close the gap, but LAL hold on and win by 8-10. Reaves comes back and helps knock down some 3s and gives the Lakers some more shooting outside of Kennard. (RIP KD...as I can see him potentially on the move?HOU has problems...)

Probably that high because they’re assuming Franz doesn’t go. Magic are a match up nightmare for the Pistons and continue to bully the shite out of them.

I would never call it horrific. The game was different but in every single sport that was the case. The game back then was different than the game 20-30 prior to MJ era. All sports evolve and you have to appreciate each era for what it was.

Agree. I just hate when people try to compare players from that time period to anyone today.
Not even close.
Some G-League Players today could have played in the 70s/80s/90s and would have been All-Stars with the Athletic Ability we have now for all players.

True. Where it all mingles is when people discuss GOAT players and then it gets ugly.
I watched and enjoyed MJ on WGN (back then every Bulls game was on WGN and most cables carried WGN) and he was so good.

Based on narratives here this can’t be right?

I’m sure this will upset the Lakers/LBJ fans

LeBron says he and MJ are two different players because he’s more of a pass-first player, while MJ is score-first, and adds that he’s a little better than MJ in some areas.
“I never have compared myself to MJ because our games are totally different. I have been a point-forward/forward-point my whole life. I have always looked for the pass. MJ kind of looked for the shot. Not kind of, he did. He looked for the shot. There are a lot of things where I would say my game is a lot different and a little better than his, but s---, he was f---ing great. We're both great. We're both great basketball players."

Only 15 player in NBA history have taken more shots per game than LeBron. He’s taken 19.4 shots per game, just 0.1 less per game than Kobe Bryant who LeBron fanboys call a shot-jacker. No player in history has taken or missed more shots than LeBron.
He’s not even remotely a pass-first type of player. FOH
He’s an inferior scorer to MJ
He’s an inferior rebounder to MJ. It took him nearly 5 full 82-game seasons longer to catch MJ in offensive (effort) rebounds despite his size advantage and despite his many more shots near the rim
He’s overrated as a passer. We’ve seen in recent years what is credited as an assist - it’s a joke. Nobody has more turnovers in NBA history. His assist to turnover ratio is at the bottom when you compare him to the top 30 assist guys in NBA history. He’s top 10 in turnovers per game all time.
He’s far inferior to MJ as a defender. The last time he made any all-d team, his daughter Zhuri was an embryo in her momma’s belly. Zhuri turns 12 this October. Meaning dude was 29 when he last made any all-d team. MJ was 35 still winning scoring titles while still being all-d FIRST team.
LeBron is delusional and doesn’t compare to Michael Jordan.
Jordan’s competitive will and mentality dwarf LeBron’s and that’s why he’s had to create superteams to take shortcuts to success and still could do no better than a 60% losing rate in the Finals where Jordan never lost, never needed a superteam, and never got pushed to a deciding game.
Lebron doesn’t believe he’s anywhere near as great as MJ, but he’s never had a shred of integrity and has always had to cheat the game whether it be steroids, stat-padding, or screwing over teammates and franchise for his personal gain

You should tell vintage hoops that was game 1 of the 97 finals, not the 98.

Ooof. Alot of that is ROUGH...
I think the best comparisons is that you cannot compare anyone in the history of the game to LeBron.
Whereas people use to have that, "Next MJ" situation right?
Again...plenty of 6'6 athletic guards that fill that "Next".. they've come and gone....That was the mold and still can be... that's why you'll get a comparison with Ant/MJ...
but...
You won't get many 6'9 - 250lb comparisons of what LeBron has done and is.
It's really one of a kind. Start to Finish. Good and Bad. Truly 1 of a kind...
