So you'd say most sports fans know Arike Ogunbowale who did the same for Notre Dame in 2018 and 2019?

You know we’re in trouble when a headline like that could pass as a Bee headline or an actual real life one.

If you would be fooled by a
"Naismith was a trans woman" headline then thats not a problem with the world, it's a problem with you

Those are just the facts. You can be angry over it or you can accept it and move on with your life. It isn't the end of the world either way.

Those aren't facts. Just your silly opinion.

Most sports fans know Clark dragged Iowa to two national championship games without watching a second of the WNBA. That upset of South Carolina when she was a junior was kind of a big deal.
Again, if she were black, it wouldn't have been that big of a deal and most people (especially on this board) wouldn't have given it a second thought.

If we're being honest, you can't deny that.

Nah. The trans section of society is always searching for famous historical figures that were trans so that headline could easily be believable. But go on burying your head up your arse lol

Because the league is trying to create interest with a good guy/bad guy scenario. Every story needs a villain.

There are many WNBA players far more deserving of the kind of recognition those two are receiving. But the league has chosen them to create drama with.

It's silly, but you know what? It works. Look how many WNBA threads there currently are on this board as opposed to the number of WNBA threads of the past.

It is what it is. All businesses look to create interest in their product. This is the WNBA's current commercial. I think it's silly, but it seems to be working.

It's crazy too think that someone just bought a wnba team for $450m. To think Jones bought the cowboys, including the stadium, for $140m.

And in 20 years they'll sell it for $2 billion.

Maybe more at the current pace of inflation/devaluation of the dollar. The next media rights deal will be at least double the $2.2 billion deal they just signed

Yea. Maybe you’re right. Any team would want the ball out if her hands. She’s only relevant because she’s white. And she’s really done nothing of note to make the sports world aware of her. Yea I guess you’re onto something here.

Tell me one black player no one knows about that we should. I’ve never watched a game and I know probably 10 to 15 players in the league because of how hard ESPN pushes them on social.

I stopped listening to sports owners bitch about losing money. Baseball owners are constantly complaining about losing money, yet you couldn't pry the team away from them with a crow bar.

Why? Because they have value. They know it. Other business people know it.

And if she were black, nobody (especially on this board) would care. That's my point. Not that she isn't accomplished.

Every WNBA player in the league is accomplished. That's why they're in the league.

But why did they choose those two?
Because one is white and one is black. What more drama could there be? And they had a little animosity in college, so the WNBA decided to play that up.

It was to draw interest. And it seems to be working.

she’s the only women’s basketball player in the game that can play the style she plays, which is electric. It has nothing to do with her being white or black.
