You can use Western Union to deposit money at 5Dimes pretty easily.

if that was really your goal you had enough to pop it back in one game, but instead you lay 2200 to win less than 400 on a game the Magic can win..

I'm loving this NBA gambling thread.

For a CSB I had a $50 6-team parlay of halftime bets during the last week of the season in which first 5 bets hit easily and the 6th was CHI-IND 2nd half under 92.5.
They only had 57 of the 92.5 points with 5 minutes left and went on a scoring spree in which they scored 14 points in the last 1:14 to go over by 3. Would've paid out $2100. I was so dissapoint.

Wouldn't have layed 500 on the Lakers, Denver will play them down to wire. I can see that series going to 7 games

The Nuggets have absolutely no shot of forcing that series to 7 games.

Locked that one in at -8

So why don't yall bet ORL money line to go up 2-0 if it's such a great bet?

Logic stands to reason that my bet is retarded so the opposite side is great. Let's see your ticket.

Nobody is saying that ORL is a great bet. Your bet of risking 2G's to win $400 is a fricking amateur hour bet.

This thread would immediately turn awesome if the Magic and Nuggets win tonight.

Then inversely there is obviously (in your opinion) great value as a sharp on the ORL moneyline bet. Why not pounce on that? $100 to win $400 - that's more than twice the payout ratio I saw last night on the Clippers.

This is the logic I don't understand. If you really think the Magic can win tonight than go seize the money line and take a flyer on it.

I don't believe Orlando can win this game. It was a perfect concoction of complacency by the Pacers, luck, and 1st time jitters from Indiana that allowed an undermanned yet veteran Magic team to steal game 1.

I think he is saying more along the lines of risking that much money on such a small payout is not wise. The reward is far less than the risk

The way I've chosen to look at this is that I'm essentially risking $600 to win $400 on a game that I'm very confident about. I don't consider the balance in my account to be "my money" until I'm at $3500

You need to start thinking about economics rationally and you'd be better off. You won it. It IS your money.

Exactly, it is YOUR MONEY. You can cash out and be up $1600 or whatever you won.

A quick review of the OPs posting history will reveal that rationality isnt likely.

Well the risk in my eyes is the difference between my initial deposit ($1000) and the payout I'll receive when the Lakers (likely) win their series ($642.86). So I consider my risk tonight to be $357. This isn't "my" money yet. I don't think you can look at your pot as "your" money until it's ready to be withdrawn and is on it's way to you.

My bankroll strategy is very aggressive until I reach my first objective which is max withdrawal plus $1000. Then I'll make another bet like last night's and try to repeat the process.

To use a poker analogy:
you are saying that the pot you just dragged isnt yours until you rack up and leave the table. in a cash game - thats total nonsense. that money is yours and you do not have to risk it, period.

essentially you are making this a tournament for no reason.

If I thought about my money this way I wouldn't have bet $1000 on the Clippers in the first place.
