Still pissed about my high school buddy Calvin Dawson not getting a shot. Freaking got arrested like a week before the combine.

Went to my high school. That was a shitty situation for him. He kinda got screwed.

That's a nice class. Definitely don't see Dunn making the hall, though I always liked him. I doubt Dillon does either.

1 HOF'er and two 10k guys.

Ray Rice is at 5k and only 25.
Forte will be over 5k at the end of the year and is 26. Possibly the best back in football when he's healthy.
Chris Johnson is close to 6k and he's 26. He's been pretty bad this year which is only through two weeks. Even in his worst season, last year, had over 1,000 yards and almost 500 yards receiving. Having one of the best seasons in NFL history alone adds to the overall quality of the class in itself.
Jonathan Stewart is at only at 3,500 yards but is only 25 and just signed a new 5 year extension.
Jamaal Charles are two of the 6 or 7 best backs in the league.
08' class is representing four of the best 8 or so backs in the league. With a number of them with a decent shot of having 10k + career yards.

Pretty freaking good class.

What year did you graduate? I went to middle and high school with him. We both graduated in 04.

1989 wasn't a terrible year:
Barry Sanders
Eric Metcalf(although drafted as a receiver)
Sammie Smith
Cleveland Gary
Daryl Johnston(in terms of being great at everything else besides running)
Dave Meggett
Vince Workman
Heath Sherman
Marrion Butts

I realize some of these names may feel irrelevant now, but I'm sure some in the OP list will be as well in 20 years.

The reason 2008 seems like such a great year is because most of these guys are still making contributions to their teams right now. But how many on that list will go down in history?
