It reveals people’s champion. Horrible glitch which already has ruined our pool. fricking amateurs.

CBS sucks dick too. After their debacle a few years back where their system crashed for an hour Thursday AM right before picks locked, I swore them off. ESPN or bust. They are the OGs of this bracket thing anyway.

Sleeper is a fantasy sports app which you can use to host your bracket. I am warning people not to use it because of an awful glitch. I’m not telling people not to pick sleeper teams.

One of the main problems with message boards. People talking out of their asses when they have no idea what they're talking about.

i'm struggling to understand the big deal here. you still have to pick it and hopefully get it right? who cares if i can see what everyone else picked

It’s a huge advantage knowing who people picked. If you see 80 percent of people picked Gonzaga and no one picked Baylor, your odds of winning greatly increase by picking Baylor to win it all.

So the champ is decided based on who someone picks in a bracket?

If only one team picks the correct champion, that team is going to win the bracket 95 percent of the time. If you know for sure that you are the only one picking a certain team to win it all, your odds of winning increase dramatically.
Let’s use my earlier example and say there are 20 teams in the bracket.
You see that 16 people picked Gonzaga, 1 picked Michigan, 1 picked Illinois, and 1 picked Alabama.
Gonzaga is about 2-1 most places, an implied chance of winning of about 33 percent. Baylor is about 5-1, an implied winning chance of about 17 percent.
Your chance of winning the bracket if you pick Gonzaga is roughly 7 percent (1/17 if Gonzaga wins it all or 1/20 if no one picks the champion)Your odds of winning the bracket if Baylor wins is probably around 20 percent (most of that 17 percent plus some combos where no one picks the correct champion).
Now if 10 people picked Gonzaga, 5 people picked Baylor, and 4 people picked Illinois, your chance of winning by picking Gonzaga is about 10 percent (1/10) and about 4 percent by picking Baylor (that 20 percent divided by 5). Picking Michigan might be appealing too given they are 8-1, odds of winning the bracket are also about 12 percent.
Percentages aren’t exact but in the right vicinity. I’d say knowing that ahead of time is a pretty big deal.

I'm not sure that is correct.

And if Gonzaga wins it all your chances of winning are much lower.
I agree that it sucks to show everyone's champion, but I don't agree with your reasoning.
