“I’ll tell you one thing, if it was Andy Reid, he would have gotten more than a fine,” the player said on the condition of anonymity. Another veteran Eagles player said that he could not get past Cooper using the n-word and that he didn’t think he would ever speak to him again. “The coaches are saying we should think team first, but this is just crazy,” the player said. “Was he thinking about the team when he said that?”
So they wont forgive him but we should forgive them for being pussies and hiding behind the media.
Black people jimmies get rustled when white people say that word in that context.

McCoy had no problem addressing the issue
quote:
“When something like that happens, you’re like, ‘Are you really the same person?’” McCoy said. “It’s not a point where I’m pissed off at a person and I’ll just say something racial. It’s more anger at the person … not the race.”
McCoy later added: “I was definitely embarrassed. He was one of my good friends on this team and I felt like it was a manner of thinking that the cameras were off, nobody’s watching and that’s when a person shows who they really are. And that’s exactly took place.”

Can't believe how people cannot grasp that it isn't a condemnation of the whole race. Just like when I call people white trash it isn't a condemnation of all white people across the globe.

So anyone who says that word when inebriated is an evil person?
spare me the comic book world you live in.
do you know what kind of house Riley grew up in? Maybe that word was common vernacular and that's how he grew up. Just because he said that doesn't mean he hates all blacks. Maybe it was merely (and i know this is hard for race baiters to grasp) a WORD. Just words. Nothing more.
Maybe Riley is a good person and made a mistake while drunk. You'd think he's got to be at least friends with some black people playing football and all.

What does this have to do with anything? White trash is a subset of white people, and doesn't have near the vitriol behind the term.
If you can't see McCoy's point here, then you don't want to see it.

So, his point is that if you ever say the N-word you cannot possibly like some blacks and dislike others. you are then relegated to being evil and must hate and have a want to exterminate the entire black race?
Why couldn't it just be a word he used? Why do blacks let it offend them so much? Do I get offended when a black person refers to me as a cracker, wonder bread, or "frickin' white boy?"

This is such bullshite. He didn't say "What's up my n*****" He said he would "fight every n***** there."
It's not just the word, it's how he used it. If he said he wanted to fight every black person there, he would still be in just as much trouble.

Jesus Christ, you are dumb if you think this is just because he said the n word.

I've seen drunk frat boys say "i'll fight every motherfricker/bitch/queer in here!"
Did he literally mean that or was he being a drunk douche and jsut using words?

It's hard to drop culture just like that. Maybe he's trying. You never did anything incredibly stupid while drunk?
Why do so many college educated blacks still vote for Obama based on race only? Isn't that just as racist?
