Before last year we'd all just be mildly entertained because 1s getting pushed early had happened scores of times. It'll probably be like that today.

The paradigm shift last year can't be overstated. I remember sitting there well past when it was feasible UVA could come back, thinking "oh it'll start anytime now, the universe just won't let this happen."

I just saw that. Thought I think they'll come back and win, it seems implausible it could happen again. At that point you'd really have to question Tony Bennett. Terrific reg season coach...bad tournament coach?

After last year, you have to figure the pressure kicks in pretty fast.

It's looking like it. 16 seeds roll over them like freight trains but not any other decent team.

Y'all are too reactionary. Virginia is going to win this handily.

For a low major, UMBC has a P5 twitter account.

UVA will probably come back, but you know last year has to be weighing really heavily on them right now. They aren't built for spurts either.

They don't usually score enough to win by 10+ at this point.

Damn I'm good

Virginia has the 4th highest offensive rating in the country. They also have the 4th highest defensive rating. And the #2 overall net rating behind Gonzaga.

They can score, and they can defend. Gardner-Webb would not be able to keep up. They had a hot start and Virginia had a bad start. That's all there was to it. Since that early lead, Virginia has out-scored them by 35 points.
