People really show either A) their ignorance or B) blind hatred for USC when they keep spouting..."cheated" with the Bush case.

What has LSU done to Towson and Auburn to show they are a sack machine despite USC having some O-line issues.

Utah had a better player on D-line than any of LSU D-lineman...and he didn't sack Barkley all night.

Yep. Oregon's going to be a chore. Funny thing is, I think we can beat them at least once, maybe twice; y'all know first hand it's not easy to beat a good team two times in the same season.

Ain't that the damn truth...
Trust me I would have rather lost the first one than the 2nd...As I'm sure SC would rather have the 2nd if given a choice

Absolutely. Although come November 3rd (man what a CF day that will be) I'll just be hoping for a win on the day.

You must not have been watching Sam Montgomery lately. Oh, and by the way, that Mingo guy on the other side isn't too terrbily bad either.

I'll take Sam and Mingo over Latulelli or whatever his name is....

I think Mingo and the Utah DL should swap names.

Barkevious Lotuleilei and Star Mingo.

That would be freaking awesome.

I'd take Latulelli over almost everyone but the problem is that Utah seems to have little else on the DL/LB core able to take advantage of the double teams and general chaos he caused.

Latulelli seemed to beat his block easily almost every play but USC (and Arizona St in the other Utah games I've seen) were fine as long they didn't run right at him and were fine doubling him on pass protection as soon as they realized their centers had little chance of blocking him. Not sure you can just plan around LSU's line in a similar manner even if they may not have one single player quite as dominant.

You have to establish the run against teams with DL like Utah. That enables the passing game to get going.

LSU is similar to Utah in the middle, but as you've pointed out, speed off the edge with Mingo and Montgomery is hard to counter. I'd have to go back and look at what plays were successful by other teams against LSU's D in order to game plan for those two guys. They're NFL 1st/2nd rounders for sure.

Star Lotulelei only has 3 sacks in 3 years. He's a run stopping nose tackle, not a pass rusher by any means. I've watched Utah play several times. Lotulelei is good, but he's overrated. Jamie Markosian from Utah State mandhandled Star during their game.

Utah State looks pretty legit too. Their only loss is by 2 points on the road at Wiscy.

Let's just end the conversation here:

Every team and any player that in any way lends any credence to the belief that USC and/or its players are any good is overrated. Fact.

Still plenty of football to be played. All USC has to do is win every game. Tough? Absolutely. Impossible? Absolutely not.

FALSE. They need other teams to lose.

I think this is likely. LSU or Bama has to lose. FSU might not, but at the very least Florida presents them with an end of season challenge.

To say USC is out of the NC hunt is premature at best.
