is he going to ignore my russell shepard retort?
Posted on 7/13/12 at 10:14 pm to StraightCashHomey21
Right because those are the only two schools that weren't recruiting him as a QB
And it's unfathomable to think that he gets moved to WR/DB at other major D1 schools without getting a real shot at QB

If you bring in a 4 star QB he will get his shot at QB and if he fails he will be moved what do you not understand about that.

Wrong, doesn't always work that way.
Obviously major D1 coaches weren't sold on him at QB if he was being recruited by some out of high school at another position already.

By ones who already felt they had depth at qb do you understand how recruiting works
Posted on 7/13/12 at 10:20 pm to bddwolfpack
Wolf, when did you first realize you were attracted to Lane?
Posted on 7/13/12 at 10:21 pm to StraightCashHomey21
God, you're a dumbass.
You obviously have no idea how recruiting works.
LSU had depth at QB? No
Had nothing to do with depth, had to do with scouts/coaches beliefs that RGIII couldn't play the QB position at a major D1 level.

Once you have your guy and depth you still go after the best players with the potential of them playing other positions he was a qb not an athelete so he took only qb offers serious like the ones I listed

we had RP for the next two years. maybe 3
JJ and JL.
didnt we have andrew hatch at the time also?

"RGIII is amazing! He was such a great QB prospect coming out of hs. No matter what his college choice was, including all major D1 programs, he would have gone there and beaten out any QB on the roster. He would have never been moved from QB. He also would have developed just as he did at Baylor and surely won the Heismen."
Happy? Now go to sleep.

No
2008, RGIII's freshman year, Lee was LSU's only returning QB as a redshirt FR.
RP dismissed the year before and JJ and Hatch brought in the same class as RGIII.

RP was on the 2007 team. Im watching the lsu florida game from 2007 and he just scored

From the summer of 2008, summer before RGIII's freshman year at Baylor:
Lee was the only returning QB coming off a redshirt year. JJ and Hatch were part of LSU's 2008 class, same class as RGIII.
LSU had no depth or experience at QB.
So someone please explain how "depth" is the reason LSU was recruiting RGIII as a WR.

Now, with Perrilloux gone, the quarterback situation is a lot more unsettled, and the options LSU has aren't nearly as exciting. What's more, no one really knows who the starting QB will be, or if we'll have the same starting QB early in the season as we will have late.

He was dismissed on Halloween 2007, RGIII was still in high school.

He was suspended. He started the sec champ game.
He got put off the team in 08

You're right. I had the dates mixed up. Odom got kicked off on Halloween.
Perriloux was still gone before RGIII stepped foot on a college campus and LSU's QB situation had no depth and was in disarray. Perriloux was gone before the 2008 summer.

Does Kiffin win 10 games this past year if he is still at UT? Probably about 7.

With two more years of his recruits, Coach O's and his staff's recruits, just maybe. But we'll never know, will we?

No. Unfortunately, he didn't want to finish what he started at UT. The SEC was too tough for him.
