I'm surprised Strong hasn't been fired already.

Remember when Willingham was fired from ND? No one wants that kind of publicity

He will be at Texas next year. His gimmicks don't work in the NFL.

I REALLY can't see Chip Kelly at Texas,

I just do not know how much he burned the Northern Texas HS Coaches with that mess from Oregon. That is why I do not think he will go there, the UIL coaches hold grudges, even if it was not their guy that got burned.

I still think Applewhite ends up being HC there eventually.

The president of the university gives zero fricks about football. You get the feeling he'd rather USC not have it. All Nikias cares about is raising money and academic rankings. He seems to love Haden.

So USC is turning into Miami 2.0?

I must have missed the season when he won a playoff game.

True, but Willingham had a 10 win season just two years prior to getting fired, and his overall record was 6 games above .500. Strong barely scraped to a bowl game last year and proceeded to get throttled by Arkansas in his bowl game ( ) to finish with a losing record.

I think Strong should probably get a 3rd year because he took over a deeply flawed program. However, they might literally win 2 games this year (after Kansas, I don't see a given win) and you just can't go 2-10 at a place like Texas with the talent they have at their disposal.

Not a chance in hell. He had sexual assault issues at Texas before he left, and he missed his chance as OC. If he'd have taken care of business then, he could be HC now. I think it'd take a LONG time and proven success elsewhere before they'd even think about welcoming him back IMO.

They are caught in the same trap that Bama was in when bear left. We kept hiring bear's guys in hopes of finding that majic again.

Similar to Usc hiring half of Pete Carroll's staff.
