Two good rules. Never bet against OSU in the horseshoe and never bet against USC in a big game.

There, that should simplify it.

Bet against OSU in the horseshoe when they're playing an elite team though... Texas and Penn State came in there and took care of business (That #2 Michigan team was a paper tiger).

You know, I often think intangibles are overrated but like I've said, on top of the talent/coaching gap favoring USC, USC has a swagger OSU doesn't. USC knows they own the Big 10, OSU knows they've been beaten like a red headed stepchild in every big game the last 3 years. When it rains, it pours... and after USC marches down the field to take a 7-0 lead, OSU will lose what little composure they have... we're talking dropped passes, line miscommunications, fumbles, stupid personal foul penalties, bad playcalling by a nervous coaching staff, etc.

Even if OSU takes a lead of course they can't feel comfortable... as they had leads v Texas in 2005, LSU/Florida, Penn State last year, Texas last year as well.

USC by 21+.

I am sure your fulll of bravado but don't know how you can call this the lock of the week? I used to use some of those gambling services (Dan Pastorini handicapping)and have listened to lots of people on what not to do. The one thing they don't do is gamble on such a hyped game thats on national television. They look at games that are more low key and don't have these young kids under such pressure that could do who knows what. Other peeps besides myself here on this thread and others have said it........don't touch this game with a ten foot pole. Especially if your gambling big....if you can afford it do what you want but it wouldn't be smart IMO. There are too many other games to choose from if you really want to make a buck.

I'm not that confident in it being by 21+. I'm confident USC will win though.

On paper, it should be by 21+... but I have to factor in the fluke variables... Freshman QB for USC, night game @ the Shoe, USC turning the ball over carelessly because they get bored with how superior they are, etc.

I've got a newsflash for you guys. If for some reason OSU is leading and USC can't move the ball with Barkley in the game, they'll just put in the backup, who also happens to be a parade all american. They don't throw the ball much anyway. This really is a no contest game.

How is that a "fluke" variable?

Don't know but its a huge variable. Its why he won't be throwing it much until the run game gets going and still it will be very safe passes that do just what it needs to do....make you respect the pass and not let you stack the box. SC's D is just as important in this game....TP may be a better passer but I am curious about your O against their D.

Whatever!!! Break it down all you want!! I would be SHOCKED if OSU was within 17 points!!! TEAM SPEED!!!! AND the NAVY game was NO FLUKE!!!! They played very well against OSU. USC is just a LITTLE BETTER!! And if ANY OSU fan says that they were looking ahead to USC. They need a reality check. OSU should look past NOBODY!!!!

I didn't say it was a fluke....did I? someone else made that dumb comment. Its a huge variable.....as I said!!!!

and to you peej, I know Navy wasn't a fluke but I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking to SC. All I know right now is I believe SC wins......whether it covers or not we will find out. I do know that if SC's run game gets going, Barkely will too. Then it could be humiliating to OSU and TP...having a true freshman (with better smarts....lol) come in and show you how to do it. Btw....has anyone noticed that Barkely knows how to speak in public and TP doesn't know the english language? Well maybe I should say he doesn't know how to speak it correctly.....LOL
The smarter team is going to win.......it also happens to be the better team.

Based on everything Barkley's done so far?
Or based on everything TP hasn't done so far?

Or is this just based on the fact that Barkley's white while TP was sadly born of african descent(your thought of the day yesterday)?
