Add LSU to the list of pretenders and I agree.

This is all true but I thought we were playing make believe.

If USC won out and defeated an undefeated ND last game of the year at home on national television under the star-studded lights and then beat Oregon in the Pac 12 Champ game.

I have no doubt they'd be in the national title game as the top 1-loss team.

These threads happen every year.

Oh God look at all the undefeated teams!

And then a few weeks later there's like one at the most and most of the former unbeatens have lost to scrub nobody teams.

Slow your roll. Not saying it is likely, but if LSU wins out, they would be ahead of USC. They would have wins over a Top 3 USCe team, #1 Alabama, and possibly an undefeated UF team in the SEC Championship. No way USC goes in ahead of a 1-loss LSU.

With FSU going down, the only teams outside the SEC that could go undefeated and go to BCS CG are: Big XII Champ (WVU, KSU), Pac 12 Champ (Oregon, OSU) and Notre Dame.

Now if USC finishes with 1 loss, the will have beaten Notre Dame and Oregon/OSU. In my opinion, 1 loss USC would not go to the BCS CG is if the Big 12 Champ is undefeated and the SEC Champ has only 1 loss. So if you have 12-0 K State and LSU and USC are both 12-1, I think LSU would go. But if everyone has at least 1 loss or everyone except the SEC Champ has 1 loss, I could easily see 1 loss USC going going over a 1 loss Big 12 champ and ND.
