Huge win over a team that lost to New Mexico. Truly the finest team in the land!

Shouldn't be surprising. Arizona played USC tough last year and hte year before as well. losing 3-20 and 13-20 I believe. Outscored 57-26 in last 3 years... only allowing 19 ppg.

As for USC's win, it shouldn't make people think less of them. Even the '04 team with Bush/Leinart/White had 4 close games on the road against Pac 10 foes.

i really dont get how the deal ball foul doesnt give them another play especially since the flag was thrown halfway through the play

It's a dead ball foul, not a foul during the play so I guess it doesn't count as a defensive foul....I don't know. Had never seen that before

I don't get the penalty at the end. Sideline interference, so I assume someone from the USC sideline went on the field and did something. It happened during the play, hell, near the beginning of the play is when it was thrown. Yet, by rule, it's not enforced?

So, unless it's different than how it sounds, any team that's punting as the clock is going zero should just rush the whole team out there? cause, hell, it's a dead ball foul! Game over!

I'm sure I'm missing something here

edit: and i'm late to the discussion apparently

Yeah, I figured Zona would get at least one last shot. I mean, when fouls occur after time has run out, don't they normally allow one untimed play?

Thats what I always thought, but since it was ruled dead ball, it must have been after the play, thus the game was over

I would had thought that Arizona would have one last shot. No matter if it did happened before or after. A foul is a foul otherwise why even throw the flag in the first place.

It kinda reminds me of our game with UK last year. Eric Berry was running back a ball for a TD after a blocked field goal, but a Kentucky defender grabbed his facemask and nearly ripped his head off. By rule, the foul was disregarded since there was a change of possession in overtime and fouls don't count in that scenario.

Yeah. I think it's a dangerous and stupid rule.

The fact that USC is ranked ahead of Georgia and Florida is a joke. Hopefully the Cats keep it up and that changes.

Georgia has not really beaten anyone yet.

See Sanchez deliver the blow at the end of that run

That was nice. Dudes got more than grit. The play will be shown again and again in the meetings to get the team behind him even further.

I don't know about "finest team in the land".

I just know we're better than Arizona.

Maybe even better than Tennessee.
