Because he can dunk and is on sportscenter top plays all the time, huh?

Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather have some of the big guys that are injured. But I think given the choice of him or a 19 year old rookie with a hobbled ankle, JC will pick him. I don't think either one would see much time anyway.

Word is though that the ankle injury was severely overblown. I think the fact that they still bringing him in after that report speaks volumes.

I honestly wouldn't want Griffin or Davis getting significant amounts of playing time but I would rather Davis over Griffin I suppose for defensive purposes

Davis sat out the scrimmage today. Going to be hard to make it over Griffin and others if he can't play. Best thing from today:

anyone else find it funny that we put a team together 20 days before the olympics and will most likely win the gold, when other basketball teams around the world have been training there whole lives

the guys on our team just started playing the sport today.

I'd bring Davis and Griffin and save a spot by leaving Melo at home.

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A person with knowledge of the decisions says Blake Griffin, Andre Iguodala and James Harden have been chosen for the U.S. Olympic men's basketball team.

The trio earned the final three spots that opened after a rash of injuries knocked out at least four players who would have been on the team. They beat out Eric Gordon, Rudy Gay and No. 1 draft pick Anthony Davis of New Orleans, who couldn't scrimmage this week because of a sprained ankle. The person was granted anonymity because the official roster announcement was not to come until later Saturday.

Also heading to London for the defending gold medalists are: LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Tyson Chandler and Kevin Love.
