They will have to be if the fans attack the American players, and they don't want Carlos Vela to be a sad, gray-haired man the next time Mexico is eligible to play in the World Cup.
If Chile is banned for eight years when their goalkeeper fakes an injury in a WC qualifier, just imagine the sentence Mexico would get for seriously injuring an American player.
The Mexican guards know this, and that's why no American fan (much less player) has been seriously hurt in Azteca, as far as I know.

I called around and there are at least two places in BR that are showing the game. Now Lake Charles might not be the sophisticated urban metropolis that Baton Rouge is , but I would call a couple of places.

Our guys will be ok, but I do know I'd probably be terrified in the back of my mind.

I am so excited for this game. The Mexican National Team (and everything that comes with it) is my least favorite team (and fans) in ALL of sports.
Anybody know what is our magic number of points needed to finish Top 3 in the group(automatically qualified)? I would imagine about 17, but less will probably get us in too
We can deal Mexico a serious blow tomorrow by winning. If they get 4th in our group, they face a very tough home/away likely against Argentina, Ecuador or Uruguay. Ouch

It's on Mun2, which is 284 or 286 on Digital Cable. It's only available in the Spanish bundle.
