This is what people don't realize...3 maybe 4 teams make it to the World Cup from our region. Who gives a shite if we finish 1st in the region. As I recall we finished first in '06 and got paired with the Czech, Italy, and Ghana...BY FAR the toughest draw in the tourney..not even close. It's all about how other people are doing in their respective brackets. If us being 3rd puts us in a not so dreadful bracket then I'm all for it.

lol

you do realize its a draw, not based on seeding right?

claudio did play great that entire tourny, and if he would have knocked in that floater from mid field, i would have had sex with him right there on the pitch. and J.O.B., well if we could suit him up right now i think it might be worth it, as i said earlier in the thread, guy could put a cross on the money almost anywhere on the field.

as for wynn, lets not pretend like he actually deserves to be on this team. we have young talent in alot of places, but he aint it.

I don't think Bob knows how to effectively manage that talent.

Scolari wasn't that great at Chelsea. Jurgen took a German team no one expected to do much in 06 to 3rd place. Scolari is another option. We need a big name period.

No arguement from me on that. he is certainly stumbling block numero uno. i wish an MLS team would offer him a great job

I still would take him over Jurgen.

If I attempt to look at the situation honestly, the only solution would be to get someone who can completely overhaul our soccer structure overnight. That is impossible, though the youth structure is slowly changing, it might be another ten years before the U.S. is where it should be. Perhaps even longer.

That was one of the worst USA games i've ever seen.

I did enjoy the return of Astro-turf though.

I recall that being the second toughest group. Could be wrong but i don't think hat was the "group of death."

Hell I'd take Maradona over Bob-O

Pass the straw. Don't let the coke hit you in the arse. Maradona is more unqualified than even Bradley. Argetnina is probably the second best team behind Spain right now. But, they have no chance to make the final eight in SA as because Maradona will fold under pressure.

No golden goal with five times as many cameras than in 1986.

haha it took me awhile to get the coke reference. I realize Maradona is a worse hire than Bob, but seriously they both have had terrible preparations for away matches.

John O'Brien and Claudio Reyna

good reason why we were successful in 02. our midfeild is no where up to par as these guys were. reyna played in europe and obrien started for ajax, arguably one of the best youth programs in producing talent in the world. obrien is only american to go through a youht program in europe and make it to the first team.
