Djoko's going to have to pull a Tsonga now.

ETA: French open Tsonga, not US open Tsonga

love - 15 - 30 - 40 - game (that's the scoring for each game)

sets are the first one to win 6 games unless the set stays on serve and it is tied 6-6 in which it goes into a 7 point tie breaker (the first one to reach 7 and win by 2 wins the set)

for men it's best of 5 sets, for women it's best of 3 sets

There are games and sets. Games are scored 15 then 30 then 40. I know that doesn't make sense but that's just the way it is. You have to win a game by 2 points so you either win after having 40 and winning another point or if you opponent also has 40, this is called deuce by the way 40-40, then you get the advantage and it will say AD federer. Then you have to win another point on top of that, to win by two. If the other guy wins the next point it goes back to deuce and you repeat. To win a set you have to win 6 games and win by two. If you are tied you go to a tiebreaker and play games and each person receives one point for a win, first one to reach 7 AND win by two wins the set. You will see it scored 7-6 and then in smaller numbers the score of the tie break which for this match in the first set was 9-7. You rotate serves for tiebreaks snake style 1,2,2,1,1,2 etc. Except for wimbledon where there are no tiebreaks in the final set you have to win by 2 games, hence how they got that ridiculously long game in 2010. First to win 3 sets wins.

Your boy Nadal has to be liking this. Novak would have worked him in the final, but I think he beats Fed

Fed's level really dipped in that game.

Early third set lead for Djoko, needs to consolidate his break here.

Yeah, Fed was in the finals at the French me

Fed with a Homerun to end the third, leads 2 sets to 1 now.

If Fed wins here its a certainity that Nadal is the champ. At least with Djok you can expect a well fought final.

Novak would probably beat Nadal more convincingly than Nadal would Federer. Nadal has never trounced Fed on any surface other than clay

Nadal's in good form. He would just wait patiently till Fed goes into one of his self destruct modes.

He's looked to be in good form for one, maybe two matches. There's absolutely nothing about their head to head matches or their performance on this surface to suggest the final wouldn't be highly competitive. Hell, their final at the FO was pretty competitive.

Nadal is something like 8-2 or 7-3 in the last 10 meetings. Admitted some of them were on clay but he gets into Fed's head. Fed starts great, Nadal hangs around, slowly claws back in and then Fed starts shooting himself in the foot. The same script has repeated far too often lately.
