score?

Man Bornstein is a shithead. It's obvious that he's our weak link. frick. We had a nice period of possession right before his stupidity. Bradley is doing a nice job on distribution. Demerit needs to stop punting the ball. We have to start playing the ball to the feet. I hope Holden isn't injured too bad, he was playing very nicely on the flanks.

David Villa scored...Alonso tried to play it to someone (forgot who) and he missed and it kinda just went through the defense and Villa found himself all alone for an easy score.

I like Bob Ley, he knows the game and is respectful towards it's nuances unlike most of ESPN. Now Alexi Lalas, the only positive thing he's ever contributed is comparing the Azteca to Mad Max in the Thunderdome.

The problem is that Bradley is the only one coming to DeMerit...it's either boot it clear or play it back to Howard. He needs to do that one more, but Jose needs to show in a bit more, as well as Jozy, to get the second ball. No one will take it off his feet.

I don't know who I dislike more: Bornstein as a walking penalty/defender or Alexei Lalas as an "analyst".

how about we send them both packing

Alexi Lalas is such an attention whore. I wish he would just go ahead and get leprosy and disappear into the Oriental fields to live on nothing but rice and peyote while reaping a lovely, Repunzel-esque set of locks.

That's the only problem I see for Torres. I don't see him as a Box to Box mid, or a DM. We need someone with more discipline to allow Bradley to harass opponents like he does.
I'm starting to think that we need to play a midfield three to get the most out of our team. And then play two strikers with Donovan or Dempsey in a free role behind them.

He plays box to box for Pachuca. I think Bob wants him more attack minded, but he can run all day. That's the Messican in him.

Probably because Bob thinks that his size is detrimental to winning midfield battles.

Stuart Holden with a possible shin contusion going in for an x-ray :prayerssent:. Where's SFP with the injury diagnosis for shin contusions.

The problem with this is we'll get no service from the outside, and we don't have the technical skills to play down the middle of the field.
We'll win if we defend well, counter fiercely, and swing balls in for Jozy. Maybe Landon or Clint can link up with Jozy as a target, but that's about as much creating as we'll do.

Of course he subs him in for Torres but he doesn't take out fricking Findley.

Huntelaar on for Robben. Great, fresh legs to torch Bornstein
