Unreal how SECW runners up are in, not B1G team

7-0, 3-0 conference and the 3rd best team in SEC backs in instead of a team from the best conference. Shame!

I don't even really care much that the B1G didn't get in. It gave us a bunch of favorable bowl matchups, which is good for perception.
But Bama getting in still kinda irks me. The last three weeks of the season they were:
1) playing an FCS squad
2) losing to Auburn
3) sitting at home
That's not a playoff finish.

It's about talent...then how did 2006-2008 USC get left out?
They blew everyone out of the water talent-wise. But a loss mattered back then.
I guess Iron Bowl losses don't matter anymore - especially to a team that turned out to be not so special in Auburn.
Parameters have shifted - SEC-ESPN doing work.

The Big 10 not getting in the playoff is why they are doing so well in the bowls. How do you not see this?

well, they did go 2-2 against 3/4 of the Playoff teams.
and the loss at Clemson wasn't exactly a bad loss. 14-6 is a score that is boring to modern casual fans.
They'd rather see a 55-52 game with Wake-Texas A&M going toe-to-toe or a Central Florida-South Florida shootout.
I'm not really pumped for a Clemson/Alabama Part III. Will I watch it? yeah, sure... but if I miss a few plays here and there I'm not going to be fricked up about it.
Georgia-Oklahoma at the Rose Bowl is sort of interesting I guess. I could see either team winning big in that game where as with AL-Clemson, I have a bad feeling Alabama will win especially if Scarbrough gets going. Once he got hurt last year, Alabama fell apart and couldn't sustain drives.

Not only do they get in, but get a short 4 hour drive to the Sugar Bowl while the other fan bases most likely have to catch a flight and will be a short drive to Atlanta for the final. They will have a home field advantage in both games (don’t think UGA wins) b/c their fans can make day trips out of both games rather than flights/hotels.
