Wings chased Hutton with like seven minutes left in the first.

Here is some jinx material for you on Price.

CP31 drives me nuts he's so mentally soft at times. When they chose him over Halak I wanted to puke.

You give him too much grief. He's really good.

No he's good, but I think my opinion formed when he blew a 3-0 lead vs Boston. Game 6 that series was on him.

What he did in Sochi has helped him a ton in the mental part and confidence.

Zetterberg put a puck from behind the net in off Mazanec's head.

this might be a stupid question but I'd rather ask before doing research. does hockey track statistics like shooting percentage? in the context of shots that end as a counted SOG, not necessarily a goal

Yep, just google nhl player stats and there's a column on the nhl site for Shots - its the column of "s". S% next to it is shots to goal percentage. For what you're looking for I'd imagine - Seguin leads Ovie in S%.

Ah frick it, here's a LINK

I'm interested in predominately slap shot oriented players

Seguin lights the lamp! He's back at #1 with his 27th of the season.

1-0 Stars - FIRE UP THE PANTERA.

This will sound dumb, but how long has Detroit been in the East?

2nd year - they were put in the east after Atlanta moved to Winnipeg. Was tough to have a central canadian team in the same division as Tampa Bay, Carolina, etc.

We really just lost the Chicago rivalry. Playoff runs used to be a beating when we would have two west coast series back to back. When I was young, I loved the late games, though. While the west's top teams are as good as the east's, I feel the east is better top to bottom and it's harder to make the playoffs there. Detroit's playoff streak will get snapped in the next few years.

Having them in the same division with Toronto, Ottawa, Buffalo, and Montreal makes sense logistically though - plus Columbus down the 75 in the same Conference.
