Izzo loyalty to senior Appling was a killer. Also, State is more affected than any other team by how games are officiated. This one was called tight, and UCONN just Pac-Man-ed away at the line.

Worst game I've ever seen Izzo coach, on the surface.

Players being soft didn't help either.

All that said, UConn deserves this and played their way here. With the way they defend, they'll give Florida a great game. And they'll bring a ton of fans to Texas.
