It looks like Federer is retiring after this year. No other reason for him to play clay season unless he wants to say goodbye.

Or needs the ranking points

This is pitiful effort from Zverev

Now he’s melting. Lendl may choke him.

I’m not even sure why this melt began or when.

If you look at all of the players with five or more GS wins in the open era, 10 out of those 12 players had made at least five GS semifinals before their 23rd birthday. The only players who did not reach that mark were Federer with only three GS semifinals and Lendl with two GS semis by age 23. Zverev has no GS SF appearances and he's three months away from his 22nd birthday. I feel like this is a make or break year for him. If he doesn't make at least two GS Semis this year, he likely won't ever be a great champion. He might win three or four slams but not any more than that.

Have we figured out what John is talking about yet? He is rambling incoherently

Not watching but this looks worse than Cilic in that Wimbledon final vs. Fed. Let me know if Zverev cries.

I don’t usually watch replays but I may have to make time for this one.

Killer: "Alex went for a toilet break."
J McEnroe: "Are you sure he didn't head to the airport?"

Chris McKendry wants to frick tsetse. This dude is not douchey at all, like he is on the court. Super thoughtful/intelligent.

He seemed like a decent dude in the post-match interview.

I guess I can be a little douchey on court too.

ETA: And off court

What exactly is going on in this match? Zverev spraying errors? Milos God mode? Something else?

ETA: I see one issue already. Raonic hitting weak slice backhands and Alex is just standing on the baseline allowing it. At 6'6 you are just 2 or 3 forward strides from an easy put away, but he doesn't trust his net game.

Milos played super weak tennis on that second match point. It might cost him the end.

They are both playing super passive. Never seen this before.
