Yeah, it looked like it was more of the force of the shot that took him down, almost like a push. It certainly wasn't the KO blow, that happened on the ground.

Did you see the strange roll that Vinny did when he hit the ground? I still think he has a reallt bright future, but that Mac Gyver-like move is what got his arse knocked out. He's got some work to do away from the clinch.

surprised mcdonald lost
johnson win impressed me
krystoff looked good
junie looked the most improved
jules should stop fighting
i picked vinny (he looked too worried about staying pretty)
i picked the fainting goat (most boring fight of the night....was still entertaining)

Vinny has to get over being a huge pussy to have that bright future. He wasn't that hurt by the shot. He just did not want to get hurt at all. That was a little kid in the playground get him off me fetal position if i've ever seen one. He was perfectly fine literally one second after the stoppage.

The real question will be can anyone from TUF really make a difference in the 155 or 205 divisions? The UFC 155 and 205 are the two deepest weight classes out there. Bader looks average and Efrin is nothing special. I dont see either of these 2 in the top ten in their respective weight classes any time soon.

Bader could stall out some boring arse wins until he gets more well rounded like Rashad did.

Agreed on Efrain especially considering how strong the wrestling is at 155. If Nover can get some takedown defense, he'll be solid.

surprised mcdonald lost - I'm not. They need to do about 3 seasons straight of nothing but 185 lb classes. None of the 185 lbers are consistent other than Silva and Franklin. It is the most shallow class by far in the UFC.
johnson win impressed me - He has potential for sure.
krystoff looked good - True
junie looked the most improved - Yes, he looked very good
jules should stop fighting - True

Good comparision. Evans was boring until he destroyed that image against Chuck.

I really didn't see any surprises this finals except for the Nover/Efrian fight.

I don't understand why the UFC only promotes one fighter. They did this with Liddell/Jackson. They had Liddell on Jim Rome, ESPN magazine everything. You think they would have taken some time to promote Jackson knowing he had already once beat Liddell. When you put all the hype in one person and he gets his arse kicked, you would hope they would have a back up plan.

I think they're promoting the hell outta Lesnar. GSP and Penn should be the biggest PPV to date. Chuck was being marketed early because of his knockouts. Now Anderson Silva is being marketed because it's easy to show KO's to bring in mariginal fans.

They should be promoting the Wandy/Jackson fight. Lots of bad blood there and bad blood sells.

Lots of potential for a bad ending too if it goes down again like it did in Japan

IF they hadn't of fought before I would agree. Hard to pick Rampage after getting destroyed by the guy twice though.

Wandy is on the decline a little due to age, beatings and being off roids. Rampage (drug induced psychotic incidents aside) is in his prime, and with a new camp should be ready to roll like never before. If his head is on straight, I can't see him dropping this one. He really should either jab and stay on the outside, or take him down and GNP him (something he completely got away from with Ibarra, unfortunately). Stay out of the clinch and win. People really don't know how devastating his GNP is, because we haven't seen it since Pride.

Couple of random thoughts: The whole boring Henderson/Jackson UFC fight was on the ground. If I remember correctly, Jackson was doing great GNP vs. Wandy the first fight and the ref stood them up for no reason. It'll be hard for Wandy to beat an equally talented fighter 3 times. It should make for a good fight. Even Jackson slumping over the ropes in the second fight was entertaining.
