The guy next to me in the ATL airport is eating fried chicken.

FML I want some chicken and waffles. And panchos. And a ribeye from Stroubes. And a crabmeat cheesecake and Veal parm from Ruffinos. And a Mcrib. And one of those new $.99 5 layer burritos that Denise sells at Taco Bell.

And pizza from Fleur Di Lis, Schlitz and Giggles and Whole Foods.

And some stuffed Cornish hens from whole foods.

And some seafood gumbo and red beans and rice with cornbread from Dempseys.

And my moms homeade spaghetti and meat balls with sausage and mushrooms.

And some green onion or jalapeño deer sausage.

Italian sausage poboy from Chicago ALS and a French dip from capital city grill.

Holy shite and some chicken fried steak and French toast with some biscuits to go from Franks.

And a shite ton of sushi.

And some sweet potato pancakes.

And some hooters wings, and buffalo shrimp hot.

Girl scout cookies... Tag a longs and thin mints

Just making a list for next week guys. Sorry to use the thread. Your suggestions will be appreciated

maynard better win impressively

quote:

Frankie Edgar is likely to get the next shot at UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn, according to Sports Illustrated’s Josh Gross, who reports that the matchup is “very likely” for April.

Yesterday, Penn announced that he would likely fight at UFC 112 on April 10 in Abu Dhabi.

Gray Maynard, who takes on Nate Diaz in the main event of Monday’s UFC Fight Night 20, was also believed to be in contention for the title shot, and things could conceivably change pending the bout.

Edgar (11-1), a four-time national wrestling qualifier at Clarion University, has gone 6-1 in the UFC since debuting with the promotion in early-2007. Despite a loss to Maynard in April 2008, three straight wins over Hermes Franca, former champ Sean Sherk, and, most-recently in December, Matt Veach were apparently enough to earn him a matchup with Penn.

Penn (15-5-1) has won 5 of his past 6 fights, losing only to welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre last January before dominating title defenses over Kenny Florian in August and Diego Sanchez in December.

UFC 112 is also expected to feature middleweight champion Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort and Matt Hughes vs. Renzo Gracie.

I love watching Edgar. Hell of an athlete, explosive, quick, and looks like the missing Gotti brother.

eta: not a Maynard fan.

i agree but atleast maynard offers the super wrestling from a huge guy who could try to immitate GSP's strategy. I dont think anyone thinks Edgar is going to take BJ down or out box him so its just another bad matchup.

so Edgar and Maynard are the only options? I thought Dana said BJ hasn't wiped out the LW division?

Neither of those match ups are intriguing. I don't give a frick out of shape BJ could work these two.

Penn will be too strong at that weight for Edgar, unfortunately. But, i think Edgar would go down swinging.

perhaps....but GSP's ability to cause damage while on the ground is extraordinary. Would Maynard just lay and pray?

If we're talking about Gray Maynard, then yes.

Dana said he pretty much has one fight left at LW then he'll let him fight some contenders at 170. Maybe they're hoping Gomi will beat Florian and then have him fight 2 more at 155 but thats about it. Edgar and Maynard are all thats left. Who else is their in 155 he hasn't beaten, tyson Griffin and Nate Diaz?

probably, if he could even get it down and if he can even stay out of submissions. I dont think he really stands a chance but i'm just saying he seems about the only one with a shot to do something to BJ. Hopefully Edgar would atleast keep attacking in the boxing and not just bug out and run away all fight after getting rocked by BJ's first punch like Florian and Diego.

i just hope Edgar has Pauly D and The Situation as special ringside guests. I really don't think Edgar would run, for better or for worse.
