you're the Monday Morning, Armchair Quarterback who had nothing to say about the fight until after the fact
not sure anyone expected Usman to do this at damn near 40-years old. props to him though, Marty Fake Newsman is back

I kinda had that in mind going into tonight--Usman's last fight before Buckley was Khamzat. I mean compared to that challenge for Usman, he must have been thinking--I can definitely take Buckley.
And all the stuff about his knees and speed, it's like everyone forgot that his bread-and-butter was slowing everything down by putting guys on the ground and mauling them.
He neutralized Buckley's speed and strength by taking him down and beating him up.
Buckley needed to defend takedowns early the way he was able to defend them late.
Great win for Usman, he was so dejected after that Khamzat loss. Hadn't won since 2021. Hats off to him.

Topuria-Charles the following Saturday.
Later in the year, maybe Jack Della vs. Islam, Jones vs. Aspinall, Du Plessis vs. Khamzat, Pereira vs. Ankalaev 2.
Not sure how they could call that Paul Craig upkick unintentional. Maybe he claimed that he thought both knees were off the mat when he launched it? But only one was. Pretty blatant foul if those are the rules.

Julianna Pena did the same thing just last week to Kayla Harrison and got an immediate point taken.

With that being said, maybe he should have still been penalized

quote:You're right, officially they called it an 'accidental foul':
They didn't say it was unintentional.
