You're right about all of that. While overrated the takedown is still an offensive move. Defending 19 of them does not mean 1 didnt land.

I'm not saying you are wrong, just why I like the 1 point card opposed to the 3 point card. 2/3 professionals aggreed with you, so

That has just been the thing that pissed me off the most in the past about judging where they counted a takedown as about equal to a knockdown. It has been getting better and we don't see as many lay and prayers anymore. The new thing I get irked at now is the wall and stall. Holding someone up against a cage isn't fighting. Either be trying hard for a takedown or striking in someway when you are up against the fence. After that first round I was hoping Stipe could keep it up and we would have a fun new challenger for Cain but right now I don't think anyone has the gas tank maybe excluding Werdum to hang with Cain.

WSOF ran an event opposite of a UFC show?

I could see them even maybe doing it against a PPV; but a live, stacked card free on Fox. Not too smart IMO.

Stipe was like 1-18 on takedown while Junior was something like 1-1 or 1-2.

JDS landed 30-40 more strikes, had the only knockdown I believe, and finished the fight stronger. Stipe definitely wasn't robbed. The judges got it right, even if their numbers were off.

Pretty much this. I was shocked to hear people calling it a "controversial decision" and fighters saying they thought Stipe had won the fight. It must have seemed WAY different on TV because it was clear that after round two JDS started laying the hammer down.

Just watch the fights.

I have to give credit where credit is do. Nate Diaz is an idiot thug BUT if he gets beat he is humble in defeat. He always shakes hands and congratulates the other fighter. For as much shite as he talks and his childish antics, he does the right thing after the fight.

Can someone fill me in on the CM Punk deal?

This looks extremely desperate.

This guy is 36 years old, zero MMA training, including no wrestling and took some BJJ classes?

Am I right on this? I mean holy shite?!!

Bellator would have signed him if UFC didn't. I think it's a combination of that & declining PPV numbers.

Whatever happened to that guy who tapped out Dolloway twice (with the same move) on their season of TUF? I think it was the one with Forrest and Rampage.
